The interesting thing about this article is that you can be fined in France for opinions such as Bardot's. If the PC crowd in the US have their way, you could be punished for your opinion here.
But in any event, whenever you have different cultures coming together you get civil strife. In Europe it is muslims, in the US it is Latinos.
It remains to be seen just how "civil" the strife will be.

Historically France did not have a large Muslim population. In America what you perceive as Latinos are the descendants of the indigenous peoples of this land.

Latiinos are no more "indigenous" than all the Europens stock in the US that have interbred with the "natives". Latinos are natives mixed with the European Spanish stocks.
To say that Latinos are anymore "native" to the Americas than any other mixed culture is baseless.

The key word is "descendants" and I stand by my statement.

Well then they are "descendants" of the Spanish and "indigenous" people, which makes them no more "descendants" of "indigenous" people than all the other Europeans mixed with the "indigenous" people in North America.
Your "statement" is about as useful and based in reality as the old racist position that drop of "negro" blood from your "descendants" makes one a "negro".

I'm not quite sure what your point is if there is a point to your comments. Somehow you seem to believe this related to some sort of racial purity which is quite a stretch. It seems you believe that since their genetic makeup has been comingled with various Europeans they no longer are entitled to their birthright or unique cultural identity. I strongly disagree and more importantly so do they.

Once again you see what is not there. I have no idea what entitlements you are referring to or where you believe this was stated. As to birthrights I refer to ones inherent right to their own cultural identity as they see it. The right to not have to conform to someone else's expectations to fulfill their potential wherever that leads.
For some reason right wing ideologs seem to require ultimate conformity on the part of others, as if insecure as to their own merit.

That's rich.
The Latin culture in the US (and elsewhere) is a fine one. I like it. It certainly isn't backwards in anyway and from my experiance living in Los Angeles and in other places most Latin's are every bit as western and valuable.
When I worked in the Arctic as a youngun' the Hotel manager was from Bolivia and the chef from Mexico.
We all worked hard and got a long quite nice.
Any American that has a problem with the Latin culture is simply a racist.
They also have some of the best comedians out there now too. Just listen to spinner.com

So Africans that practice African culture have an inherent right for their culture to be South American, if that is how they see it.

If a person identifies with a group or culture it is not my function to judge whether or not the image of their self is correct in any sense. If they are comfortable in their skin thats good enough. That pretty much sums it up. Ones own perception of their cultural identity is pretty much up to that person. You may view them as a wannabe or not but ultimately they determine who they are not you. Your view is irrelevant in this matter as is your argument.

‘Culture’ is not ‘static’, it evolves.
Newer nations like Aust, US, are huge melting pots of cultures.
Greater cultural diversity permits people with brains, even those ‘conservative’, to ‘ENRICH’ their views.
Like it or not reamond; if you could define US ‘culture’, it was different last year and it will be different next year and your offspring “WILL” breed with other groups, alien to you, and they “WILL” look different to you and they “WILL” be subject to greater cultural differences.
Close your borders, close your doors, but it’s too late, the horse has bolted.
Peaceniks rejoice, the ‘conservatives’ are worrying themselves sick, that their children will become Dalmatians. What are they to do?, knowing that someone who looks or thinks like me or you will inherit their hard work. Nah nah nah nah nah!!!!!
I think reamond wants to keep it ‘pure’. He wants the black man to forget anything that may be considered ‘African’, he thinks it un-American.
He wants America do be something like Israel, only for Jews.
