I just went to the store and sprayed some "Celine Dion" perfume on my arm. YUCK! I'm a Chanel #5 and Dune fan... what do you wear? Any you hate?
Guys, do you like women who wear perfume??

I love Allure from Channel or Opium depending on my mood.
I have a unnatural hatred to Eternity thanks to a former co-worker that seeminly bathed in it. Worst part was she obsessed with one of our co-workers who happened to be my best friend and would covertly bath his car and once when we went by there, his apartment with it as well so that he would think of her. For years after she was gone the smell of Eternity would thow both of us into evil moods.
During the day I gererally just rely on (the now discontinued - thank god for ebay sellers) Vanilla Bean lotion from Bath & Body Works. It's funny, I can do the evening thing with killer pumps and a dash of Allure and I don't get half as much attention as I do in a t shirt sweats and wearing an 8 dollar lotion that smells like sugar cookies. I guess the way to a mans heart really is thru his stomach

I like the more exotic perfumes like Poison on women. For some reason senior women seem to wear too much cheap-smelling French perfumes. BTW- The woman sitting next to me the other day was wearing something called "Sweet Pea" from one of the Body Shoppes and it smelled real nice.

Mostly Skin Musk by Bonnie Bell for me. In high school it was Emeraud. I still have a bottle for old times sake. If I'm not wearing Skin Musk, I'm wearing my Raspberry collection from Bath & Body Works.

I'm always painting so I generally smell like oil paint and turpentine. My husband loves me anyway and calls me sweet pea! LOL

Helen
That's funny because I used to date an auto mechanic who smelled of grease all the time. I loved it. Are you an artist?

The truth is sometimes funny, Cheryl. Art is just my favorite hobby. You may call me a wannabe artist.

the wife wears Chanel...I, on the other hand, am a simple sort, on top:

Since a LONG way back. I've loved the scent of White Shoulders. But the wife doesn't like it & prefers Opium, youngest daughter (age 31) prefers Red & Beautiful.
Whatever makes them happy, makes me happy.

I wear diesel (not brand, the fuel!) since that's what I do. My girl prefers Obsession for herself.

Helen, I knew you loved art but I had no idea you were also an artist! Now that you've let the cat out of the bag, you MUST show us some of your work. I'd LOVE to see something you've done!!

Naa...I said a wannabe* artist and fortunately, I know the difference! I'm not about to display my artwork so that all of those nasty people who hang out in private chat rooms will have something to yak about. LOL!
Carry on with your analysis of perfume!!!

Sorry Helen, I've never heard of private chat rooms but I get the hint I shouldn't go there.

I have never met anyone who wears the perfume I like, but I love it ... it's called Moroccan Mint Tea and it's made by Fresh.
My first love, however, is really a "Love" - Love's Fresh Lemon, which I have adored since the age of 12. I thought it had been completely discontinued but I was in heaven when I found three bottles at Big Lot's right after Christmas. I bought 'em all.
I don't wear scent to work any more, however, because we have a perfume vigilante who claims to be allergic to almost any scent anyone wears. I understand that some people are legitimately very sensitive to fragrance - even to the point of threatening their health - but her "allergy" seems to be triggered more by how annoyed she happens to be with a given individual on a given day. WE've gotten so annoyed with her tactics that the other woman in this department and I both completely discontinued the use of fragranced products (including switching to unscented soap, lotion, fabric softener and anti-perspirant) to test her out ... sure enough, the next time she got cranky, she ran straight to the OSHA coordinator and claimed we were wearing "clouds" of perfume.
Did I mention she smokes two packs a day?

Remember when Love's Baby Soft was the big thing? I remember walking through school smelling nothing but clean babies! Not a great motivator when you're a guy in high school
