Well Someone had to pay the price. Finally a CEO gets what they all probably deserve. former CEO of Imclone gets $ 4 million fine and 7+ year jail term. Any thoughts and do you think he will ever see a jail cell or drag out the appeals for the rest of his life ?

Will be overturned on the second appeal. Will never see the inside of a jail for more than a day.

I would probably tend to agree with you on that one. To much money for him to spend actual jail time. Same thing with Stewart. My be guilty as sin but with that much money a get out a jail free card can be bought . And a 4 mil fine isn't that big compared to what he made on his inside deals either.

Don't you think it's weird that Sam and Martha get indicted but nothing's happened to the Enron thieves? What about WorldCom? It's been a year and a half and still nothing.

It's funny how the Imclone cancer drug proved to be valid afterall tomyou. Fate, eh?

There have been charges filed in other cases, but the targets are usually third-string accountants and corporate officers. No CEO has yet been toppled.

Personally, I don't see why the feds are making such a case over Martha Stewart. I'd far rather see them go after Ken Lay or some of the other CEOs that were truly corrupt. The whole Freddie Mac thing makes me sick - it's essentially the next wave of corruption. Instead of suborning your auditors, refuse to cooperate with them!

Sam and Martha are both life long Democrats. They do not have the political protection of the ruling party. On top of that Martha has the nerve to be a woman.

Yes thats pretty ironic that the drug that started this whole thing is turning out to be valid and going to get FDA approval anyway. Just a little patience was all it was going to take but I guess in the world of corporate greed patience is not acceptable. I don't mind them going after stewart but yes I would much rather see the enron and worldcom CEOs taken down as there deeds where far more damaging than stewarts. costing thousands there retirments. Guess it goes back to the money and buddy system. You can get away with What you know as long as the who you know can cover your ars !

The whole thing brings up a good point as far as Martha goes, in that if her case goes to court, she can spend as much money on her defense as the government can to prosecute, so for a $40,000.00 gain, would it all be worth it?

"so for a $40,000.00 gain, would it all be worth it?"

You bet your azz it would be worth it. She is one of the worst. Not in the amount of money she got but being on the Board of The SEC she knew exactly what she was doing.

They will all get there due. It wakes time to build a case but all will pay the price.

Amen,
Reverend Colin
