The following is a quote from a columnist whom is definitely anti Bush, and points to the results of the next Presidential exection.

"...It is a political truth that has been nothing but bad news for Democratic presidential hopefuls for more than 30 years and it figures to be even more so since September 11, 2001: Millions of Americans will be voting in 2004 not to choose the nation's chief executive but to elect our commander-in-chief. That was always a large part of the undoing of George McGovern, Walter Mondale and Michael Dukakis. The Democrats' only presidential victories of the last three decades occurred when there were no overriding national security crises. Economic concerns proved decisive for Jimmy Carter in 1976 and Bill Clinton in 1992 and 1996."

- Columnist Martin Schram

Its a myth the democrats are weak on defense. They only fight the wars that are needed. They dont believe in American empire. It isnt in the best interest in the American people.

This administartion are the ones weak on defense.

Homeland security is not funded. Were fighting the wrong country while Al Quida is playing on the Jungle Jim in Saudi Arabia. We have created thousands more Osama Bin Ladens by our pre emptive strike on Iraq. Our middle class is slipping into poverty. Our forces are stretched way too thin. Our country is not being protected. Ocording to the countries involved in talks The neocons are provoking North Korea into a war by being hostile and unwilling to cooperate with a non agression treaty and sending in weapons inspectors. The Neocons have jump started a nuclear arms race in other countries becouse they put them on the hit list.

They have halted the nuclear proliferation treaty by making new strategic nuclear weapons.

They are suggesting that The Syrian and Iranian government are sending in troops to fight us. They are suggesting that Syria helped Saddam hide his WOMDS in their country so now wwe have to go to war with them.

These acusations are tottally FALSE. Syria has been a great ally in the war on Al Quida but weve put them on the back burner.

This weak on defense BS is just another smokescreen they have brainwashed the American people with.

These are extremists and imperialists controling our foreign policy.

Its a myth the democrats are weak on defense. right.....lol

Saddam's son was VERY surprised when we invaded rather than just continued talking about it.

Binladin [on tape] was quoted as saying he saw the US as week. Fooled him.

The consequences of this war are monumental. Despite what this administartion would have you believe, we are attacked becouse of what we do, not who we are. Imposing American ideals on the middle east only fuels hate for America.

We have no business in the middle east. Iraq was a police state and Wohabbism was outlawed by Saddam becouse Wahabbi followers hated Saddam and considered him an infedel becouse he was secular. Now that we have control of Iraq it is slowly turning into a failed state. As long as we are occupying that country it will only fuel attacks on us.

We need to internationalize the occupation ASAP and stop the image of American empire.

I will say this BEAR. If in the unlikley even Wesley Clark decides not to run, and the Electronic Voting Machine fraud isnt fixed, then I think President Bush will be elected or re selected in 04.

Lets face it. The current field of democrats are a ticket to nowhere.

Kerry, Dean, and Clark

I love logic puzzles. I can't help it. My mom got me into them when I was little and it's been downhill ever since. For the uninitiated, here's an example:

Amy is taller than Kim and Christine is shorter than Kim. Is Christine shorter than Amy?

No. Shortest to tallest, it's Christine, Kim, and Amy. That's a really simple one, but you get the point.

So here's another one for you, DemWatch style:

Howard Dean has been waffling on the issues.
John Kerry's campaign is in a downward spiral.
Wesley Clark reportedly wants to run for President.

So what's the answer? Well, let's do it the way my mother taught me. Break down each piece of information individually.

The Dean bubble is beginning to burst. Misunderstood by some of his staunchest liberal supporters, Dean is bound to disappoint. As The Washington Post reports, he's run from right to center on raising the Social Security retirement age, from left to center on Cuba policy, and from left to right on campaign finance. For other candidates, these would not be huge problems. But Dean is supposed to be the Democrats' Mr. Straight-Talk. Many of his current supporters could jump ship. That is, if they had an alternative.

As Ryan Lizza reports in The New Republic, the Kerry campaign is in trouble. His numbers--in polls and in fundraising--have plummeted as Dean's have skyrocketed. Kerry can't seem to get his head above the media water and does not seem poised to do so any time soon. That's Lizza's take, though I look at his upcoming official announcement of candidacy, his "exclusive" appearance on Meet the Press this Sunday, and his lay-out of his economic plan as proof that Kerry is slowly climbing his way up the attention ladder.

But will Kerry's climb be fast enough to outpace General Wesley Clark's rise to the top of the hype heap? The Minneapolis Star Tribune is reporting that Clark wants to run, but only if he can win. The most recent Zogby poll gave voters a short bio of Clark and asked them to choose between Clark and Bush. The results? Clark wins, 49-to-40%. So simple deduction says that Clark will enter the race. He's giving a speech in Iowa on September 19th, in which many expect him to announce his candidacy for the Democratic nomination. A Clark announcement two to three weeks after Kerry's media blitz could hand the Kerry campaign a blow it might not be able to recover from.

So, long-term, what's my answer to this logic puzzle?

Dean beats Kerry, Clark beats Kerry, Clark beats Dean.

These fanatics are going to ruin the future of this country.

Unfortunatley I have come to find out the majority of the American people dont have a lic of sense.

Never has a president ever relied on the people so much to not pay attention. The American people have short attention spands, they are very naive, and they put too much trust in our government.

I am very disapointed in my party. They have failed miserabley to get the message out. I see them on C-Span but the majority American people dont have the patience to watch C-Span.

They are about to be shocked if they dont wake up from the MTV slumber.

I hate it when the politicians say the American people are smart and they have good judgment.

Those bogus statments are tottally discredited.

A good example is how Arnold Swarzeneger is beating all the more qualified candidates in the polls. He cant even have a debate. He has no plan on how to fix Californias problems. He has no idea what the hell he is doing and it shows.

Mot of The American people are stupid. Hes winning just becouse hes an actor.

Its rediculous.

What is really trivial is the supposed intellect of someone calling themselves BigCity.

Spelling, verbage & sentence composition (or the lack of) is a true indication of a persons
intelligence.

BigCity, you are surely the proud product of the modern educational system. If you fail, you graduate anyway.
