Quite a while back we had a fun thread where everyone shared a commercial they really get/got a kick out of.....
If anyone's interested, maybe we could do that again.
--------------
My most recent favorite is the one where the older brother brings his girlfriend home.
Sitting on the sofa, playing video games is his younger sister.
He tells her to 'scat' so he and his girl can use the TV. She's not a happy camper.
Meanwhile the young man goes to get a drink for this girlfriend.
While he's gone the younger sister, sitting on the landing of the stairs, pushes a button on a laptop computer, which makes past vidoes of her brother and his 'other' girls start playing on the TV.
Of course, the new girlfriend storms out the door. And when older brother returns, he asks where his girl went. Younger sister says, "She had to leave."
LOL
Reminded me of when our sons where young....something like what they'd do to one another.
But....while that commercial mades me laugh, I sure don't remember the name of the product they were selling.

I think I know the one your talking about Linda, isn't there a whole 'line' of commercials for some tech stuff... one is the younger sister catches her older brother and his girlfriend singing a song to each other (You Are My shining star??? ) and records it to DVD
The family all comes in, and the dad says, put the DVD in... and she puts the one she just recorded, of her brother singing to his girlfriend, just as older brother walks in the room...
linvinjeans, lol, yeah the Dell 'dude' he was way better then the INTERNS, they are lame!
how bout them ebay commercials? .... not!

My favorite commercial right now is the Mastercard identity theft one where the guy is sitting watching television--he starts talking (in a valley girl voice)about a leather bustierre purchase that cost $1500 "but I didn't care because it lifts & seperates..." All while cracking open a beer.
This thing is hysterical! There are at least 2 others in this commercial series, but none are as good as this one!

I don't think I remember that one Kraft, was it advertising Barbie?
Ok.. the one that had me cracking up, this is most likely NOT appropriate for this board, but what the heck
The one where the kids are in class and one girl passes a ... um... tampax to another girl, they are the new ones you see, they are small, compact, wrapped (of course uh..) and unmarked.. and the male teacher sees these girls passing something, and says 'bring that here' and she does, and he holds it up (not knowing what it is, thinking its candy I guess ) and says 'I hope you brought enough for the rest of the class'
Sorry! when I first saw that, I was cracking up so bad... and thinking, I wonder if that could ever happen? LOL!

I have two favs. One was a local comercial that ran here in the San Diego area during the Superbowl. It featured shots of doors slaming, security bars being locked down, windows being closed etc with the text...
The Raiders are going to the Superbowl....
Some people are not happy about this...
We are...
King Stahlmann Bail Bonds
The other is a commercial I saw a few years ago in Mexico of two young girls standing on a bridge. Below them, coming down the "river" are two good looking young men in a canoe. In order to get the young mens attention one of the girls reaches into her purse and takes out a super absorbant maxi pad and drops it into the river below. Next shot is of the boys in their canoe right below the bridge ... stranded in a now dry river bed. I still laugh just thinking about that one.

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

My favorite is a beer commercial (I don't like beer) paying homage to the great men, ie Mr. Float Driver, Mr. Thong Wearer (wooly mammoth in a rubber band), Mr Taco Salad Inventor, many more, just can't remember.

LMHO at the maxi pad commercial, Fenix!!! Aren't feminine product commercials stupid? There's too much stuff available for "the danger zone", imo.

The worst feminine products commercials were those douche commercials they aired in the 80s. Are you...fresh? Gaaagh!! Censorship, like charity, should begin at home; but unlike charity, it should end there --Clare Booth Luce

The Barbie one was where GI Joe arrives at her doll house and picks her up in his Nissan. Then they speed off, leaving Ken looked all dejected. It had Van Halen music and I loved that commercial.
Girl, you really got me now You got me so I don't know what I'm doin' Girl, you really got me now You got me so I can't sleep at night Girl, you really got me now You got me so I don't know where I'm goin', yeah

Must be. I haven't seen that one...or any of the others though.

Thanks to those of you who contributed their favorites...they were great.
