Ok, I don't know who's into this trilogy here, but I am.

So it starts tommorow, actually here they are starting it at midnight at some theaters

THREE HOURS and 42 minutes long, and I know its going to be all worth it.

So who else is going to see it?

My daughter and I are going, then I'll probably go later at some point with Mike, because he really likes them too

Legolas is a real cutie, too bad he's so young

She wanted the whole book set, so I bought it for her for Christmas.

I have 2 friends that are totally into it, that one of them last Christmas gave me the 'Leaf of Lorian' brooch

We bought our tickets on November 26, when they first went on sale.

I have a program at the library tomorrow afternoon, but am taking part of the day off to see ROTK. Show time is 10:20 am tomorrow morning. ***Happy dance***

edited toput "morning" in its proper place...

I read the books in the 60's, I believe.

I haven't seem any of the movies as of yet. I wanted to see them all together. (With in a day or soof each other)

The first two are on going to be on Showtime or one of the PFV stations.

Maybe I'll watch them and go to the last.

Amen,
Reverend Colin

we have the first two on disk, but we're going to let the dust settle a bit before going to this one.....It's an hour's drive one way to the theater, that and the movie's length pretty well shoots a whole day..

I've already got the 3:00 showing on my schedule... And maybe the 8:00 also if it's really good!

Of course it'll be really good... How could it NOT be?

Who here already has the two extended DVD sets and can't wait another year for the third?

Almost FOUR hours in a movie?

DVD's have a pause button.

Yeah, but Helen, it takes most people over a month to get through the three books.

Think of the time SAVED, not spent!

Wow! bunnicula, did you buy your tix on fandango? I was afraid the shows in our area would be sold out because of that.

My kid wanted to try for the midnight showing, I said now way

Yep, I have the first 2 on DVD, they are great! Can't wait to see this one.

Colin, we had to read the Hobbit in school.
It was great. And the first 2 are for rent or sale at the video store. I'm sure it will be next summer until I can complete the set, like they did with the first two. They started them both at Christmas time the last two years, they make too much money on them, to shoot them on to DVD until way later.

I'll be going sometime this week. Sounds like Bunnicula will be the first to see it!

Ya gotta report back, but no spoilers!

Just back... Fantastic movie, probably the best of the three. The ending at the Havens did drag on a bit too long, but the rest seemed to fly by way too quickly. I'll definitely be seeing it again.

If you thought Helm's Deep was a big battle, you ain't seen nothin yet!

No, we just went to the boxoffice of the theatre & bought them there. Fandango gouges you for an extra dollar--no way I'm paying that!

I had to zoom to work right after the movie, darn it.

It was GREAT!!! So good that you don't even notice those 3+ hours going by.

Unfortunately, the curse that hovers over me at movies & plays struck again. There were 3 kids sitting behind me that would not sit still or shut up for very long. Even when people around them (including me) told them to shut up repeatedly. Aaaargh!

We went by the theater and saw the lines, but will be seeing it soon, and probably not just once.

Bigger battle than Helms Deep? wow!!!

I heard someone on the radio saying that almost 4 hours just wasn't long enough!

Wow, I can't wait, but got soooo much to do here, as soon as the MIL leaves we'll go!

bunnicula, I've had that happen ALOT at the movies, get some kid sitting directly behind me, and kicking the seat, it makes ya wanna turn around and......... well I know what you mean!
