Fix your marriage -

http://www.nytimes.com/2004/01/14/politics/campaigns/14MARR.html?ei=5062&en=4de1d4434bd90853&ex=1074661200&partner=GOOGLE&pagewanted=print&position=

Dear God everything they touch it is the kiss of death. You thing gay marriage is a danger to 'normal' marriage? Wait until we have Federal standards for it.
If they just minded the store so people had jobs and houses and health care that would do more for the stability of marriage than anything.

It is stressed people who can't make ends meet who can't come home and be with their family because they are working two jobs who need help.

It's generally a no brainer to see that children of the poor fare better in a home with two incomes -- a mother and a father. Nobody needs to consult with the University of Chicago or read Prof. Linda J. Waite's book to know that. You don't need to take a course in How to Live in Poverty ...How to communicate about lack of money, How to avoid having children because you can't afford them and How to raise the one's that you have while using problem solving techniques, negotiation and good listening skills in the absense of money.

This administration gets goofier every day.

Poverty is the problem and it can't be soothed away with courses on how to communicate about lack of money. What's needed are jobs with decent salaries.

The outcome will only be based on whatever action leads to the most votes for George Bush. What's right will never be the motivation of the Bush administration. It's a 1.5 billion dollar "training program" that will only benefit Bushco.

For months, administration officials have worked with conservative groups on the proposal, which would provide at least $1.5 billion for training to help couples develop interpersonal skills that sustain "healthy marriages."

"This year, administration officials said, Mr. Bush will probably visit programs trying to raise marriage rates in poor neighborhoods. "The president loves to do that sort of thing in the inner city with black churches, and he's very good at it," a White House aide said."

Yes, that's one thing he's good at. Photo ops. Hug a poor black kid and line up with the neighbors in front of the church...30 minutes. This is a photo operation designed to appeal to right wing conservative Christians who oppose gay marriages.

What a sleazy maneuver.

yeah, I'll bet they'll just be lining up to get married after the President gets them all fired up.

You know, gay organizations will pick up on this sort of Bushelytizing and have a field day. You watch: the very first time GWB goes to some ghetto (where a group of brides and grooms will have been pre-arranged for live telecast wedding ceremony) there will be an even bigger, far more spectacular "wedding" production in Greenwich Village or The Castro.

I can't wait...
