It seems to me that the reason Liberals are having such a hard time coping with life today is that they in fact are the ones who have not moved forward.

They seem to be stuck in the 60's continuing to seek out a utopian life that has proven time and again to be non existant or has just plain failed. They do not seem willing to come into the 21st Century and as one group says "move on".

Ladies and Gentleman, this is the 21st Century, you should move into it and embrace it, your utopian dream world doesn't exist nor will it ever exist.

President Johnson has been dead for many years, his "Great Society" is proving to be a failure and the majority of the US don't agree with you.

Of course you can continue your Don Quixote ways, it does provide some humor and may in your elder years gather you some sympathy.

By the same token, conservatives have taken a step back to the 50's and McCarthyism.

haha Twelve, and if you listen to your Mr. Bush, all is going extremely well. But for "all the people", that really depends on where you sit at the time, now doesnt it?

Twelve, don't you know the liberal behavior stems from the abuse of LSD & pot in their formative years, namely the 60's which also happens to match their IQ.

Bunnicula, you are too kind, "back to the 50's and McCarthyism". Try back to the 30's 40's and fascism.

"Mussolini said that fascism should more properly be called "corporatism" since it was, under Mussolini, a blending of state and corporate power. Mussolini ought to know; he was the first fascist leader".

And twelvepole says liberals are living in the past.

It wasn't meant to form a Utopia. It was meant to alievate poverty. And it did do what is was intented to do.

What it was never intended to do was find jobs for everyone in an economy that can not provide gainful employment for everyone.

Mussolini ought to know; he was the first fascist leader

And they should all meet the same end.

If I may, I should like to extrapolate Bunni's comment to suggest that it's not so much that "liberals" are stuck in the sixties but that right-wing reactionaries are determinedly stuck in the mud of the fifties...
