I read that the blood evidence found on Jon Benet's clothing was never tested for DNA - can you believe it?? The blood comes from a male and is now being tested in hopes it will clear the Ramsey's.

I never believed they had anything to do with their daughter's death and I hope this will shed some new light on finding who killed her.

As I have said before, had the Ramseys been a poor family, they both would still be in jail.

The Ramseys had lawyers and Public Relations people before they were suspected of anything--an option that the poor do not have. Wealthy defendants with political power on their side, the best lawyers to protect them from the police, along with special consideration from the jury and judge because they are wealthy celebrities -- can literally get away with murder.

They can also afford the best forensic testing and when those tests are not in their best interest, they can arrange to avoid them...as in this case.

There are exceptions but generally these advantages result in wealthy clients going scott free while the poor are found guilty and locked up.

Krafty - from what I understand irt is not that the material was not tested but that the tests were inconclusive. Now, with greater advanments in DNA technology they are going back to see if anything new can be discovered.

BTW - I was wondering how you explain a stranger coming in to the home, raping and killing the girl there in the house, hiding her dead body in an obscure room that the father eventually had to show the police because they didn't find it at first and then sitting down at the kitchen table to write a long drawn out letter to the parents. That's where I keep getting hung up.

Fenix: me, too. That, and the "ransom" note.

If it was not their own hand that killed the girl it was still their actions since they used her like a piece of property in these meat shows.
If she had lived she was headed for a screwed up a life as Micheal Jackson.

I still don't think they had anything to do with her murder. I doubt they would pursue having this drop of blood (found on Jon Benet's underwear) tested further if they were guilty. From what I read, Fenix, this drop of blood was never tested, except to see if it came from Jon Benet or her family. It was never tested for DNA.

Yes, they're rich and used the law to their benefit, and yes, they did the stupid baby show circuit with Jon Benet, but if the police had a case, they would charge them. They don't have anything.

Below is a link to a case of politically connected millionaires getting off easy.

I have followed this case off & on over the years and it is my understanding that the DNA that was collected at the time of the crime was used to rule out anyone in the Ramsey family. However, Boulder Police felt that the DNA was not of sufficient quality to submit to the DNA databank...therefore it was never done. But then in December of 2003 it was determined by the FBI that a sample DNA taken from Jonbenet's undergarments WAS of sufficient quality and is to be/was entered into the DNA index system. They did determine that the DNA is from a white male. I do know that the man who played Santa Claus, who has since passed away, was ruled out as a suspect also.

As for the ransom note…..who in their right “adult” mind would only ask for $118,000.00? I’m 41 yrs old and $118,000.00 isn’t enough money for the risk. A couple million or more would be more like it but to someone in their teens to early twenties $118,000.00 is a lot of money! It’s also the same figure as John’s bonus check of some sort if I remember correctly. Just something to think about…………….

Yep--that's what bothered me about the "ransom" note as well. The wording of it was cock-eyed, as well.
