With so many arm chair generals here, I thought I would find out who has actually been to another country other than one neighboring your own...

Personally I have been to Bahamas, Scotland, Ireland, England, France, Germany, Switzerland, Luxemborg, Monaco,Italy, Bahirain, Kuwait, Saudia Arabia.

I am from the best country in the WORLD!

I've been to England, Ireland, Greece, and Turkey. Was supposed to move to Saudi but in my teens but that one got nixed.

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

Does California count as a foreign country?

Other than that, I've been to Japan, the Phillipines, Guam & Viet Nam.

Canada, Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Panama. Panama was by far the best of those 4 countries.

HHmmmmm.... looks like 12 has been to the same places Timothy McVeigh visited.

Having visited foreign lands does not cure stupidity nor being myopic.

The smartest "armchair" general I ever met was born and died in the same locality and was never more than 25 miles from that location.

Living in the "best" country does not mean that your country does not make mistakes nor does it mean that your country's leadership is not lacking.

Nor does it mean that your way of doing things is the best way of doing things.

Just as what works in Wyoming may not work in New York, what works in America may not work in China or Africa.

Did one of us hit a nerve Twelve? Your topic is so YOU! It's like a person starting a thread asking anyone if they're as rich as they are or what chapter of Mensa they belong to.

You'll never regain any of your lost credibility that way, or didn't you know that?

I've said it before Twelve(Retains-No-Memory)Pole, if being anti-American is being against what YOU stand for, then I'm proud to be anti-American!

What? Of course living IN a country that is the 'best' makes mistakes etc, but the way your putting it, is you don't live in the U.S. either?

You keep referring to your country or your countries leadership.

Dang! had me fooled, thought you lived in the U.S.

Kraft, go ahead, ask me how rich I am, and which chapter of Mensa I'm in

While I would love to travel the world, particularly Scotland where my ancestors are from, we are choosing to travel this country instead. Little by little. Perhaps by the time I am 80, I will have seen it all.

Well, since we're being truthful, I am filthy rich too, Near. Some of my BARNS have been featured in Architectural Digest. My I.Q. is 201 and I'm gorgeous. I only hang out with rich people that wear Rolex watches. I wallpapered my eBay room in $20.00 bills and it's 40 feet by 45 feet. I guess you and I are the only ones on this board who are successful.

Was it a year or 2 ago, Reamond was more a 'conservative Republican'?? or rather his posts USED to sound that way? (I know, my memory is shot! ) but somehow I remember him being quite different than he is now.

Near, I believe you to be correct. Reamond must have bought into Helen's line of thought.

450 sq. ft. Near? My teacup poodle's doghouse is bigger than that, but I have no need to brag.

Yes, I remember that Near! Reamond was a liberal, then one day he said all animals were man-eaters and became conservative since that day. He's back to being liberal, so he's finally on the right track.

I'm afraid it's true, Near. Prof was a witness to it all. After the all animals are man-eaters thread, he started agreeing with people like Linda!

Twelve, why do you keep addressing your posts to me all the time? I thought you didn't care about me, but you're crazy about me aren't you?

Ok, but I missed the 'All animals are man-eaters thread,' man, I miss everything!

dave, after 2 years? did reamond have 'buyers remorse'? on the 2000 election?
(or maybe he lives in Florida? )

Reamond's changing from a conservative republican to a radical liberal is quite a flip-flop.

You missed a good one Near! Reamond had me belly laughing all night. I wish I knew how to look up old threads!

I don't think he really flip-flopped Ebayauctionguy, I think he was trying to see things from all sides but soon realized what a mistake it was.

Linda, you have significantly changed your position also. Remember this....

"I just couldn't force myself to vote for either Bush or Gore....no, just can't do it. Won't do it!!!"

"No...no..no...no...no!!!"

"Ralph Nader will have my vote."

From this position you became a staunch supporter of George Bush.

Linda did a flip flop.
