I'm not crabby.
I just get tired of the ones that hurl insults and continually post BS about what I am saying or what I believe just because I don't believe what they do. Why should only their view be heard?
As things worsen in Iraq and Bush's ratings continue to crumble they seem to take their frustration out on some of us here and attack us, like it's all our fault. It's not.
Helen beat me to it..... I wrote that and then went into dreamland watching a hummingbird at the feeder before I hit reply.

Kraft, I dont think its just the righties.
I noticed it today IRL many people also seeemed crabby to me, too. Thought about it just like you and came to this conclusion: Sometimes seems there is just so much falseness. False niceities...false pretenses, etc., etc. - Some days ya just get sick of it.

I know what you mean Nero, but lately here it's like we're at war with each other... like you have to be on one side or the other before you can say anything. And depending on which side you're on, you deserved to be called names and be accused of saying things that are so totally untrue, it makes you wonder if the "other side" actually reads anything you say. I know it's just a phase but I hope it ends soon.

NTS!! The coming transit of Venus??!! Are you into astrology - Or being sarcastic/funny? haha
Kraft, you know whats funny? When you dont read/or post here for a bit and then come back - well, it kinda feels like being the sober person in the bar when everyone else is drinking or drunk. Really weird. But yeah, I dont think much of the intention behind the sentiments get through inbetween the mud slinging. (God help us the closer it gets to november!! Will be interesting to see how the winners and losers go on this board tho!)

Realplay, why would anyone admit their wrong for their POINT of View? The scary part to me, is if this board is a glimpse of representing real Americans and their diverse political views, it is always a left at a stalemate (or whatever you call that) - and just leaves the issue where it stood to begin with. In mypov, problem (in political issues) nobody wants to compromise but how do you get from here to there if both sides have lead feet?

neroter, no, not astrology, --astronomy
The transit of Venus is like a once in a lifetime thing, well not really, next I think is 2012? But before this year it was in the 1800's.
On June 8, you will be able to watch the tiny black dot of the planet Venus moving across the the sun. If you have a cloudless sky, all you'll need is a sun filter to follow the spectacle for several hours by your naked eyes-AND REMEMBER SUN FILTERS!!! (no kidding at all)
And yes, there is some people that believe this signals the end of the world.
Then there are the NEO's (near earth objects) and there is supposed to be comet shows .. this month? though we have cloudy skies right now.... again, people believe this is the end....
I won't even get into the Planet X thing!

NTS, that sounds very exciting. I will have to watch for it!! (I wasnt geeky as a kid but I always liked astronomy. When others would fall asleep at the trip to the planeteriums or whatever, I always had a faint interest in paying attention to it. Only as an adult can I now appreciate it though!)
You know, Astrologers sometimes say the movements of planets affect us. I dont know if I do agree with that entirely because it kinda gives up free choice; but you do have to wonder as they have documented emergency room, crime incidents and other erractic behavior surging at or close to a full moon. If the moon affects us, why not the other planets as well? When they say mecury is retograde, does seem machinery and such goes whacky beyond normal, too.

"why would anyone admit their wrong for their POINT of View?"
In any argument, one side is right and the other is wrong. Occasionally, there are shades of grey, but most people have to take a stand either for or against any given point. Sometimes a person will switch sides if enough evidence is offered.
In this forum, in the various politcal threads, there are four or five serious left-wingers and four or five serious right-wingers. None of them EVER admits they could be wrong.
What is the point of debate if neither side listens or has an open mind to change? No persuading is going on here- it's just devolved into name calling... And it appears BOTH sides are correct in some of the names.

The whole country is split in their beliefs.... about half one way and half the other.
Right after 9/11 everyone seemed more caring but it didn't last very long. I think people get caught up in too much work and struggle trying to keep ahead or just to maintain what they've had.
Then there are some that just crab about anything and everything. It can be the most perfect day weatherwise but there is always someone that says it's too hot or too windy or too cool.

I'm crabby because. . . .
1. Until Saturday, we've had a cold, wet spring with rain every weekend,
2. $10 gets me less than a quarter tank of gas,
3. A court hearing I must attend was scheduled when I was supposed to be on a long overdue vacation,
4. And, someone woman woke me up at 6:30 this morning asking for someone named Bob. When I told her she had the wrong number, she called me a bit#@ and hung up the phone. Geesh, I don't have to get up until 8:00 today.

Cheryl, dial *69 & tell her you sent Bob home @ 3:30 AM. He was fun but wasn't up to the 3rd 3 way.
