there is a north american boycott going to happen on may 19, where everyone
if possible will boycott buying gas on may 19..
the logic behind this is...

IT HAS BEEN CALCULATED THAT IF EVERYONE IN THE UNITED STATES & CANADA DID
NOT PURCHASE A DROP OF GASOLINE FOR ONE DAY AND ALL AT THE SAME TIME, THE
OIL COMPANIES WOULD CHOKE ON THEIR STOCKPILES.

AT THE SAME TIME IT WOULD HIT THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY WITH A NET LOSS OF OVER
5.6 BILLION DOLLARS WHICH AFFECTS THE BOTTOM LINES OF THE OIL COMPANIES.

THEREFORE MAY 19TH HAS BEEN FORMALLY DECLARED "STICK IT UP THEIR behinds "
DAY AND THE PEOPLE OF THESE TWO NATIONS SHOULD NOT BUY A SINGLE DROP OF
GASOLINE THAT DAY.

THE ONLY WAY THIS CAN BE DONE IS IF YOU FORWARD THIS E-MAIL TO AS MANY
PEOPLE AS YOU CAN AND AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN TO GET THE WORD OUT.

WAITING ON OUR RESPECTIVE ADMIINSTRATIONS TO STEP IN AND CONTROL THE PRICES
IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE REDUCTION AND CONTROL IN PRICES
THAT THE ARAB NATIONS PROMISED TWO WEEKS AGO?

REMEMBER ONE THING, NOT ONLY IS THE PRICE OF GASOLINE GOING UP BUT AT THE
SAME TIME AIRLINES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES, TRUCKING COMPANIES ARE
FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES WHICH EFFECTS PRICES ON EVERYTHING THAT IS
SHIPPED. THINGS LIKE FOOD, CLOTHING, BUILDING MATERIALS, MEDICAL SUPPLIES
ETC. WHO PAYS IN THE END? WE DO!

WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. IF THEY DON'T GET THE MESSAGE AFTER ONE DAY,WE
WILL DO IT AGAIN AND AGAIN. SO DO YOUR PART AND SPREAD THE WORD. FORWARD
THIS EMAIL TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW. MARK YOUR CALENDARS AND MAKE MAY 19TH A DAY
THAT THE CITIZENS OF THE UNITED STATES & CANADA SAY "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH"

skylite, count me in on the 19th. Gas up, health insurance up, drugs up, whole prices up, interest rates boiling ready to explode, all because of failed republican leadership.

Even if this were possible, everyone would just buy more gas on the 18th, so what would be the net effect? And if it did in fact cost the industry billions, guess who would pay for it in the end with even higher prices? That's right, all of us. Unless you plan to never buy gas again after the 19th, this is just silly.

By the way, the whole thing is just more forwarded email garbage. It never ceases to amaze me how much pure BS is accepted as fact and passed on into the bitstream....

Were everyone to turn off all their power consuming utilities that would make an effect.

This is a sham.

Want to make a difference? Ride a bike, walk, take mass transportation, carpool, junk your SUV, turn down the thermostat, go solar, get off the grid.

Getting your gas on Tuesday instead of Wednesday does nothing!

We need to drill for more oil and build more refineries. But lefties won't allow that to happen and so we shouldn't be surprised with the high energy prices.

That's their plan: Obstruct oil drilling and new refineries to drive up the price of gas so that people will drive less and stop buying SUV's.

No, we need to ease out of our dependence on oil for fuel. That way we wouldn't be pulled up by the short hairs every few years.

The technology is there. We should develop it.
