According to Bush, everything is going fantastically in Iraq so none of us have anything to worry about. Do I ever feel silly for thinking otherwise!

If it wasn't so tragic, the Bush rendition of events would be funny.

That's beacuse major combat ended over a year ago. We have treated the Iraqi prisoners so well. The Iraqi's and the rest of the Middle East love the United States so much they would love us to stay over there.

I hope Bush wakes up from his dream very soon.

Bush's favorite Song:

Riding down the highway in a makeshift Model T.A.
Ooh Yeah (ooh)
Beautiful morning and it's gonna be a beautiful day.

The wheels are humming,
The guitar strumming.
The radio a blasting,
The good times a coming.
Riding down the highway in a makeshift Model T.A.

We're gonna keep on, keep on, keep on singing and dancing all through the night.
Keep on, keep on, keep on doing it right.
We're gonna keep on, keep on , keep on moving,
We're gonna keep on, keep on, keep on grooving.
Keep on singing and dancing all through the night.

You can hear the music from a hundred miles away

The Bush Iraq speech is just more Republican lies. Truth is the republicans are shaking in their cowboy boots. Bush has failed in lots of ways Iraq is just one of his failures.

I dont' think Bush's little speech helped his campaign one iota. One lie on top of another and another and another. . . I saw a pole on MSNBC this morning (wish I would have cut and pasted it) that showed 66% of Americans still don't believe he really knows what he's doing in Iraq even after his speech. They're just words . . .and not even his own.

He didn't say anything new or concrete, just a lot of smoke. The most recent CBS poll gives him a 36% favorability rating.

I thought there'd be more cheers coming from the right, so I assume none of you saw his speech or read this topic yet. I'll condense it for you -

We want to see a democratic Iraq
We hate terrorists

So ther you have it. Isn't that fantastic news?!!

I've got to say that one thing about the president's speech pissed me off royally.

A lot of people didn't get to see it.

Everyone here knows that I am not a big Bush fan. But I do want to hear what he has to say when he says it. Why didn't a lot of people see the full speech? Because not everyone has cable or satellite, and the big 3 networks decided not to carry the speech live because a) the white house didn't request air time, and b) it's sweeps week.

It would seem to me that (and in a time of war especially) if the president has something to say, it would behoove the networks to make that speech available to the watchers. They don't seem to have any problem interrupting programming every two seconds with non-updates for a storm or earthquake.

It just ticks me off, that's all. Stepping off soapbox, now.
