I live in S.E, Wisconsin and that is hard to believe. I know we are wishing for warmer weather but to give us 96 is bad. Now with all the rain we had and this temperature it will be difficult to sit outside at night. We will be swatting misquitos all the time. Oh dear will there ever be a happy medium. Watch out for the West Nile Virus..

New Hampshire checking in here: it was 54 yesterday, and today it's 90. But that is NH for you: wait 5 minutes, and the weather wil change. if your lucky you may still be around, as long as you avoide the skeeters and black flies.

In Christ,
Rick

Genesis 1:1

"I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him: "I'm ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I do not accept His claim to be God." That is one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic....or else he would be the devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God: or else a madman or something worse. You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill Him as a demon; or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to."

We have the same problem with Lake Michigan. West winds are warm. East winds are colder. I haven't heard the weather report yet so maybe there are going to be storms later on. We have had some horiffic ones lately. Rain, hail the size of golf balls, high winds that are not tornados, then tornados. It always happens this time of year.

It's 63 here now, looking at a high in the 70s and hopefully a little rain which is pretty rare this time of year. This is our "June Gloom", the follow up to "May Grey". July is when the heat starts rising, August is te worst although triple digits are not unusual in Septemeber and even sometimes into early October. I actually enjoy this time of year the best here.

Minnesota reporting here....we had one ..ONE...delicious day..70, sunny, soft breeze...it had rained for 3 weeks before that and yesterday...96!
People(who don't live here) think "cold and snow" when they think of Minnesota but the summers can be so hot and humid I swear I see Spanish moss and Anacondas hanging in the trees!
BUT...it's SUMMER, don't have to shovel, scrape, or warm up the car! There's flowers everywhere, birds by the hundreds, baby critters all over...and, Ta Da...the HAMMOCK, my favorite place!

Not me crow I am originally from Northern Minnesota. What weather you got yesterday we always get the next day. I don't know where you live but I lived by Lake Superior and we could alway know that the nights will be cooler. A built in Air conditioner that Lake Superior is.

Northcentral PA: Sunny, humid, and expecting a high near 90.

We'll probably get the 96 and humid tomorrow.

Libra, I live in the "country" 35 miles NE of the Twin Cities and when I drive home from work I can always feel the temperature drop as I get closer to home...I'll never understand city "life".
I love the north shore...if only it was a little farther south

lol crow>>>>

I lived at the tip just outside of Duluth. On very warm days we often traveled up the north shore. Beautiful. Stopped to skip rocks in the lake. What a peaceful time in my life. To bad we can't go back.

Now the road has taken on a new look. The old highway is there but difficult to get to.
It's not what it use to be...We are in a fast pace now, the road is a super highway now. I doubt if you can even see the Lake from the road.

Rick

You must have weather similar to Cleveland. It can be 50 one day, 80 the next. It's almost 4 p.m. and it's 89 here. It was higher earlier this afternoon. Much to hot for this time of year. We usually get these temps in August. Cold, wet, hot, dry. Everyday it's a new weather experience! LOL!

Good comment on life in general.

105 here, and a dry, hot wind....I had to have the main well deepened 30 feet this winter, thank god the spring is still running strong. You wouldn't know this is a working ranch until sunset. Before then, you can't find an animal anywhere....

Yeah... after they jumped down from the roof to get a better view and you had to scare them away with a shotgun. Hahaha!

We don't need guns in Canada, Helen. I'm not sure what their problem was but they might have been turned off by my hairy legs. One of them asked me if I had mink leggings on.

Profe51, you lucky dog, you live in both my favorite states! I do lean towards NM 'cause it's a little emptier....would like to retire in Truth or Consequences.
I'm just plain nosy...what do you do there?

What do you raise? Or grow?
Aren't "running a ranch" and "spare time" kind of oxymoron phrases?

Are you talking about 18 hour days?
Got horses?

Are you talking about 18 hour days?

Pretty much. We raise Spanish Churra wool sheep primarily. Also La Mancha dairy goats, a few head of cattle. Of course there are horses, mainly for working the stock, my daughters also have show horses here that they use for competition.
Not to mention the cats, chickens, geese, guinea hens and the dogs, who are working members of the family, not pets. Four Border Collies work the sheep and a very grumpy Anatolian Shepherd hangs with and protects the goats. We stay busy.
