"During the singing of "God Bless America" in the seventh inning, an image of Cheney was shown on the scoreboard. It was greeted with booing, so the Yankees quickly removed the image."

Boy, I must havent been to a ball game in a long long time. Why were they playing God Bless America in the 7th inning? I dont remember them ever doing that? New Yorkers are a tough crowd to please, pretty pro-democrat.

Yeah- pretty pro-democrat with their Republican governor and back-to-back republican mayors.

Cheney got what he deserved, he's a liar and a crook, and those are his best qualities.
Cheney and Bush will get a big round of boos in November too.

Redmond, there's republicans in there now, but for the most part it is a very democratic party voting state. Even their republicans are more ahem liberal than most. Its New York for God's sake! Have you ever been there?

What can say, Yankee fans love Kerry and their Cracker Jack, better than they love Cheney and Crunch N Munch.

They are "bass ackwards"! LOL! The thing about New York is you never know what to expect! It's a fun place to visit, but I don't think I could live there! At least, no where near NY City! Too many people!

twelve, something very strange is going on here. I find myself agreeing with you more and more and I am getting scared. heh!!

That is one thing about New Yorkers. They will let you know how they 'feel'. Very little reserve or holding back to be polite. But you take it or leave it with them.

Baseball typically has the "seventh inning stretch" where fans are invited to stand and usually sing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame." In the first game at Yankee Stadium after 9-11, the Yankees invited a NY policeman (or maybe it was a fireman, I can't remember now) to sing "God Bless America" instead of Take Me Out to the Ballgame, during the seventh inning stretch. People responded so well to it that they have continued to sing God Bless America. The national anthem is still sung before the game, just like everywhere else.

LMAO !!! Bush doesn't support our freedoms. Bush and Ashcroft want to make us less free.

Besides, our Constitution guarantees our freedoms, not the president.

Crow - since no one else will do it and it's beginning to get on my last nerve, please allow me to clarify something for you.... Twelve and Linda are not the same person. One is a recently widowed female and the other is a with imaginary asian concubines. They may have similar opinons but they are far from being the same person. Continually implying that they are makes you look silly and casts a negative pall over everything else in your posts.

I usually think of them not as one poster but as two posters with the same thoughts and misinformation. So, LTwelve is perfectly understandable to me.

Twelve attempts to defend Linda frequently.

::what the heck is a "a with imaginary asian concubines". ::

oops... should have been 'a MALE with imaginary asian concubines."

ONce you have been here awhile you will learn to interpret my typing wihich often falls victim to such elelments as thinking two lines ahead of what I am typing at the moment, record breaking run on sentences and thought restructuring mid sentence without the benefit of continuity checks or proof reading. It's what makes me so damn endearing

LOL! I never meant to imply that you did not prefer them Twelve. I was reffering to to a confession you made awhile back that the poor put upon asian house slave/girlfriend that you would speak about was a put on to goad us free wheeling modern women on the boards.
