I think we need a contest to see who will win the title of "Kook of the Round Table". The winner will have to have posted something so outrageous, it makes you wonder if they're sane. You can vote as many times as you like - this is just for fun, so here are the rules...

1. You can vote for anyone that's posted at the RT.
2. You must c&p a copy of the offending post along your vote.

That's it!

Ya, it was kind of funny. That is if you take it OUT of context. I haven't heard that expression in years!

The competition's tough Yellowstone. I'm afraid you'll have to become a bit nuttier to be in the running.

Aw, KD, I know YOU can come up with something even better. It's your turn now. I jumped in first. Surely, you have to be gutsier than I am!

Personally, I can only think of just one person that posts here that archives peoples posts so well that only she could come up with or remember offensive posts from the past that would quantify enough votes to name a kook worthy of such a title.

Somebody, and I'm not going to hazard a guess who it was, once posted something about cutting off someone's (insert: terrorist, liberal, "demo" or something) head and pi$$ing down their neck here. That would get my nod for more than Kook....more like Cretinous Sociopath. Helen, maybe your search skills could help out here...

I nominate crowfarm for this

Linda just answer one question

Have you ever had an original and/or kind thought about anything or anyone...is that why your alleged son is in Iraq or wherever because you were boring him to death?

But the first should be austbounty for calling Linda a whore (or something along those very lines) right after Lindas husband passed away-post I don't even care to dig up.

(sorry Linda, I don't mean to bring it up, but it was low, almost as low as what crowfarm said)

The Kook of the Round Table was skylite and I'm glad the sorry b@stard is gone.

1st Runner Up: austbounty

Dishonorable Mention: crowfarm, rustydumbo and bigpeepa

There are more leftwing kook hippie weirdos that I won't name.

{{{NearTheSea}}} - I've often thought they might be one in the same.

It's saddens me that people who come here to debate/disagree on politics have to either ignore such abusive statements...or just choose to leave our boards.

But what I have trouble accepting even more, are those who so willingly accept them...in a sense cheer their hateful statements on. Why? Because they agree with their political views....not because they're presenting themselves as decent human beings to others.

Those hateful statements are not only cruel...there's no reason to go to such extreme lengths to show their hatred. I've question why they do it? Only answer I've come up with is it must make them feel better about themselves in some way.

okay...I've said what I needed to say. Thanks for letting me vent.

Wow, I had totally forgotten about that one......

or maybe I was forcing it from my mind.

I hate to admit it, but I AGREE with Helen......

Hades must have frozen over on that one.

John 3:16

"I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him: "I'm ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I do not accept His claim to be God." That is one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic....or else he would be the devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God: or else a madman or something worse. You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill Him as a demon; or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to."

Oh linda, cut the warm fuzzy "linda as Mother Theresa" schtick!

This is what your "supporter" (and alter ego ) had to say,
"You fkn little roach... grow up or die... I perfer the latter but would at least like to see the former..."

This is the type of post you prefer? You've already provided the answer (for a change)...."Only answer I've come up with is it must make them feel better about themselves in some way."

I think at this point we are all willing to dish it out, but not take it if you know what I mean. We can't seem to take a jab and not come back with a better jab anymore. It's really kind of sad. That goes for me as well.

Helen

You have a definite winner with that post. Are you going to let us know who did it? Must have been before my time because I don't ever remember reading it. That poster was in dire need of psychiatric treatment and a tranquilizer or two.

I am not, repeat am not, anything like Linda. Pllllease, if you have any compassion, if you have any sense of liberal decency you won't compare she and I. LOL! I do, however, have a son and know that comments made against him (especially since he would not be here to defend himself) would enrage me! It's the mother lion in me.

Linda and twelve - I do sometimes wonder about the two of them. LOL! But then, we know how twelve feels about women in general. In fact, we know how he feels about people in general that aren't white, straight and toting a bible (or if not a bible, some book on the art of warfare) under their arm.

Cheryl, aren't you awake yet?
I would never EVER insult you by saying you were anything like linda! And I didn't! Read my posts after you've had a another cup of coffee.

And don't let the fact that twelve "acts" like a male (notice I didn't say man)fool you.

No, I'm not awake. I've only had one cup of coffee and I spilled half of that coming up the stairs to my office! LOL! Good thing I wasn't ready for work yet. I'm wearing white pants. Give me a couple of more cups and until around noon time and I'll be alert and awake - just in time for the desire to take an afternoon nap settles in. Isn't aging just wonderful?

How do I feel about people that aren't white cheryl? You better choose your words carefully... and better show some proof...

If you bring up my feelings on illegal immigration, you better be looking in a mirror also...

I for one have many friends and unlike liberals, don't feel the need to label them a certain color... but many are hispanic (legal) and black...

They also feel the same about illegal immigration

I'm going to agree with whoever voted for Skylite as the biggest Kook.

But Crowfarm is fast on his heels becoming the most obnoxious poster, and it's NOT because I disagree with his politics. I *DO* disagree, but I disagree with a lot of more civil posters here. He's just mean-spirited. So is twelvepole, but at least I usually agree with him

Aw, come on twelve, you know how I feel about that. Almost the same as you. However I do go further in believing that the system for becomming legal in this country is too complicated and takes far too long. And it is your idol, Bush, who wants to make the illegals legal and to allow them to work here and live in Mexico AND to allow them to collect Social Security in Mexico. Do you agree with that? That U.S. money should go to Mexico to improve their economy? Afterall, that is the backbone of Bush's plan - to improve the Mexican economy. The world first, the U.S. last. Should be his motto.

You do have a low opinion of people who don't fit into your neat little mold. The "white" crack was my disgust at you for your name-calling of people who are gay, to women who want to control their own bodies and on and on. A lot of your comments are Klan-like (leaving the "color" part out of it).
