(If this is true, and I dont know that it is, is it a liberal govt or a republican govt doing it? )

FROM THE DESK OF LIEUTENANT JIM DANGLE, RENO SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT, Reno, NV

To: Citizens of Washoe County,

Dear fellow Washoeian,

When our founding fathers laid out the Constitution of this great nation, they put in specific guidelines regarding life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Sadly, the Nevada State government is trying to take these rights, and wipe its proverbial "behind" with them.

A BAN ON MOUSTACHES FOR STATE AND COUNTY EMPLOYEES HAS BEEN RATIFIED. I ask you: what's next? As a moustache-haver and moustache enthusiast, I ask that if you believe that hard working civil servants who are working to make our streets safer deserve the right to have a moustache if they so desire -- then please write to your assemblyman (or assemblyperson) and tell them so.

A sample letter might read:

Dear Assemblyperson,
I stand behind our Sheriff's Deputies' right to have a moustache.

Signed,
(YOUR NAME)

What's next? Will the government force clothing manufacturers to make one style, one color top and bottom so that people do not have a choice in what they wear? Or will they force everyone to shave their heads?

Let's have a BBQ, Texas style, ROAST BUSH

I think they should bend over and show the law maker's their hairy arzes. Maybe then they'd think that lips were the preferable place to show hair. LOL!

12 this was joke, but really, what does having a moustache have to do with performing the duties of a police officer?
They are civil servants...not military, remember.

I remember about 15 years ago, in the Metro Detroit area a young man working for Domino's Pizza as a driver, was told to cut his hair. The TV media showed him as being clean cut and well groomed, but with long hair. He sued his employer with the help of the ACLU. I don't recall what the outcome was.

True Americans do not exclude anybody. They recognize that everyone should have the same rights. Bigotry, intolerance and hatred are cancers of the mind.

Couldn't or can't play on the Reds if you had facial hair... Old Marge didn't like that...

15 years ago? I think the difference is the "well groomed" I would like to know the outcome... similar cases have lost...
