Bush paid another visit to Michigan again. This time to the city of Saginaw where he wooed the crowd telling them that Michigan State football was better that Ohio State.
The news article went on to say that he has visited Michigan 5 times in the last month, and 18 times in his term of office.
Why five times in the last month? He wants the Michigan vote. It is almost certain that he will need this state to retain his job. However, he failed to speak at the NAACP convention in Detroit last month. Apparently he didn't feel that it was an important issue. On a recent Detroit TV news report, 89 percent of the Detroiters polled said they would be voting for Kerry, and 0 percent would be voting for Bush.
With Bush's history of ignoring the Black voting block and of his anti labor ideas, it will be very hard for Bush to gain the support of Michigan voters including Michigan's large population of United Auto Workers Union members. Additionally, the Greater Metro Detroit area consists of 4,740,000 people who have a strong history of voting democratic.
Maybe he should start looking for another job now. I am sure there might be a manufacturing job somewhere in China for him!

There is a large African American population here in Cleveland. About 90% of them were rooting for Sharpton. What makes Bush think they'll now vote for him? Ya, right. His policies have hurt that part of our community tremendously.

Maybe you might be right on that. I think there might at least 10 or maybe 12 black republicans in Detroit!
True Americans do not exclude anybody. They recognize that everyone should have the same rights. Bigotry, intolerance and hatred are cancers of the mind.

Twelve-you-moronic-imbecile,
A high % of blacks are against gay marriage but they also know there are MUCH more important issues in this country (unlike homophobes, those scared little weinies who think they'll turn gay if ALL Americans have equal rights).
Blacks favor Kerry over Bush.

Ahhh looky here is crowfart following me around like a little puppy...
President Bush only needs to garner 10-12% that would be more than double than what he received in 2000...
So keep on wishing...many blacks have already stated they will vote for President Bush, based on the homosexual agenda alone... many blacks are very religious, but as usual you are discounting that...
Why do you think that most of the southern states will ban homosexual marriage this election year?
and the majority of the population voting on that idea...
AIN'T LIFE GRAND...
Re-Elect President Bush... the only true choice.

"Why five times in the last month?"
Who cares about Detroit? Are you sure you know how elections work????
You see it's all about electoral votes. Bush is ahead in electoral votes. He has no need to campaign in xx states and Kerry has no need to campaign in some states. There are many states that are close, that's where the candidates go.

July jobs report is in and the Bush economy goes further into the hole.
Bush's presidency is just like Jimmy Carter's.
Kerry is going to whip Bush just like Reagan whipped Carter.
Reagan and Carter ran a dead heat until election day and then Reagan won by a landslide.

Bush is ahead in electoral votes.
No he is not. In fact Bush is in trouble in some states that he thought he had in the bag, such as Colorado. Kerry has closed a 9 point Bush lead in Colorado into a too close to call state. And Kerry hardly spent any resources there.
Bush's supporters in Colorado have now had to start going door to door in republican neighborhoods in Colorado just to try to get Bush back in favor.
The reasons Bush is now losing republican Colorado ? Lying about the war and the crap economy.

Bush is ahead in electoral votes.
If this is another election decided by the electoral college and not the American people, I can see a push to get the system changed. The American people should vote for the President and not pick the people who go to the electoral college.

Many states have a "winner take all" law that makes the electors vote for the popular vote winner, others allow them to vote as they wish, though I don't think this has happened.
But in any case, it is doubtful the college will be repealed because of the reason it exists: to prevent the populous states from wielding power over the small states.
