My opinion of these four days is the republicans have given up on the independents, and focused on their base. Mr. Bush found time to cheap-shot kerry, but no mention of osama bin laden......

I am sure Kerry will take more cheap shots than him tonight. The liberal host on the big 3 networks were takiinig them too. At least the GOP did not have the Swift Boat Veterans in the president's box. Unlike the Democraps & Micheal Moore

I didn't see or hear anyone chanting USA USA USA for kerry at the demo convention like they did for Pres Bush when he left the stage tonight.

Hey, hey
Ho, ho

He said that, yellowstone, because Mass is such a confusing place to drive with all the roadwork going on. He figured the simplest, truest directions were the best to get them out of the jam they were in.

Psalm 22

"I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him: "I'm ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I do not accept His claim to be God." That is one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic....or else he would be the devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God: or else a madman or something worse. You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill Him as a demon; or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to."

Ya, Poobear, you and Linda like chanting....it's so much easier than thinking....it's a Republican thing..
And what exactly does chanting USA over and over again mean ? Does it say anything?

Or do the Republicans think they're the only ones who live here?

Or did they just discover how to pronounce it?

What was the point?

LOL, crowfarm! I didn't watch the convention. To this day I still cannot stand to hear that man speak. When he says, I'm George W. Bush and I approve this meshage, I cringe. It's M-e-s-s-a-g-e. Not M-e-s-h-a-g-e.

But, hey, we had our turn now they've had theirs. What's fair is fair. What fun would this board be if they all stifled themselves?

A truely outstanding convention. There was nothing about it that was anything but outstanding. The message was clear and the future is clear. The "left" can prepare for four more years of leadership. "God Bless America" and "God Bless George Bush".

Four more years of "Bush is God".....no, I hope not (even thought Republicans think hope is a dirty word).

I didn't hear any PLANS!

I didn't here HOW we're going to fight terrorism or end the mess in Iraq! Or PAY FOR IT!

I didn't hear about any new JOBS!

Where's Georgie's PLANS, details ???????

Haven't heard any!

Linda- you know another group of hatemongers who chanted alot??? It was the Nazi's. The Republican Neo-cons are nothing more than a bunch of lemmings who follow a liar, a cheat, and a killer.

Let's see... George Bush attracted about 2000 supporters who had to complete a loyalty oath and were screened before seeing the President here in Portland. John Kerry attracted over 40,000 people to his rally on the very same day. Hmmm. Who do you think is more in touch with reality and America? Not GW.

This President refuses to talk to the general public unless he hides behind the walls of the White House and does it on television. He is nothing more than a chicken who can't accept the fact that people across America are willing to speak out against him. He is scared to be in the public because he knows he will be challenged each and every time. He is nothing more than a scripted little doll placed in front of a television camera. And you call him a leader... that is laughable. He is unfit to lead this country.

Well, rustygumbo, show some respect for the office, if you can't for the holder. At least the secret service doesn't have to make sure that all strongly opinionated soldiers are disarmed before the president visits a base....now. The negative connotation of your slanderous words elicit more pity for you than argument defending the commander-in-chief. If you feel that strongly about the matter I recommend you go to the nearest titty bar on Friday night and practice your prattle on them. Could be, you start and lead the revolution that topples the unelected President. Personally, I think you'll get your teeth handed to you. Might cool your self-important jets.

park- so you really think that would happen, huh? are you the one to do it? seriously... can you actually back up your violent claims? are you the type of person to punch someone because they express themselves? so, you support violence when used as a method to protect your fragile little mind from hearing the truth. sounds pretty shallow if you ask me.

Though Zell and Parklane only represent two ignorant Americans in this country, one commonality is they would resort to violence to end an argument.

Let's face it, the President and Vice President are unfit to run this country. They lie to cover up their lies, they kill to cover up their lies, and lemmings like Parklane are there to lap it up. It really proves how shallow these neo-cons really are. Resorting to violence seems to be a historical tactic used by many neo-cons. If George W. Bush told them to jump off a cliff because it was the Republican thing to do, I guarantee you Parklane would be first in line.

I honestly didn't think you could find someone dumber than George W at the RNC, but wow, I was amazed at how stupid the whole bunch really is. From Girly Man Arnie, to Zell, to Cheney's lies, to the Bush daughters, each and every night was filled with embarrassment to all Americans. Honestly, the best part of the whole RNC was Bush. We finally got to see the platform they were hyping he would be raised on to greet the delegates. He still managed to tell boldfaced lies, and tout himself as the war president who believes, but doesn't believe we can with the war against terror. He wouldn't discuss Osama Bin Laden.

I would love to hear from one intelligent conservative as to why Osama has become a non-issue for the Republicans. I would guess to say it is because Bush and his cronies were bought by the Saudi's. I just hope GW's neck doesn't break as he looks the other way.

Rusty says "I would love to hear from one intelligent conservative"

You hear from them all the time on this board but your mind is so closed to the facts and the truth that it only confuses you. Not much the "right" can do to help someone like you.

Two more months !!

Two more months !!

Just read that a board of elections in a 1 million plus population city had to add a second shift to handle all the new voter registrations.

And the people registering weren't millionaires hoping to protect their Bush tax holiday.

Two more months !!

simple minded boot. i am not worried. go ahead and chant along with linda, i have nothing to worry about. anyone with a sense of intelligence can see bush's dirty tactics. anyone can see how he has no platform other than attack the character of his opponent. not very sportsmanlike if you ask me. bush should run on his accomplishments. oh wait... he has no accomplishments. bush has instead decided to attack kerry, and kerry won't sit back and let it continue. kerry has run nothing but positive campaign ads, has focused on his platform, but it won't be that way for long. in fact, he started punching back last night. if you seriously think that bush is going to win in november, think again. the only way bush can possibly win if he plans an attack with osama on america once again. you heard me. i don't have a hard time seeing how 9/11 happened in the first place. george w. bush knew we would be attacked. he went on a month long vacation before 9/11. he sat in a school classroom in florida for 7 minutes waiting. i don't think he didn't know what to do. he knew full well exactly what was going on. he knew his buddies in saudi helped finance the attack through osama. why not mention osama? because he is probably enjoying his vacation down in crawford right now. the heat must remind him of the middle east.

144,000 jobs added still doesn't keep up with the minimum monthly growth needed to offset a net loss. Bush remains the only president since Hoover to have a net loss in jobs over his career to date.
