The truth is obvious even to Moore.

Michael Moore's latest: Kerry a lousy candidate
Filmmaker eager to defeat Bush says Democrats are 'so pathetic'
Posted: September 21, 2004
2:55 a.m. Eastern

Filmmaker Michael Moore, who makes no secret about his desire for President Bush to lose re-election, is now calling Democratic presidential hopeful John Kerry "a lousy candidate," and says the Democratic Party is "pathetic."

"If I hear one more person tell me how lousy a candidate Kerry is and how he can't win," writes Moore, "Dammit [sic], of course he's a lousy candidate – he's a Democrat, for heavens sake! That party is so pathetic, they even lose the elections they win!"

The comment is part of an open letter posted on Moore's website, as the director of "Fahrenheit 9/11" tries to rally the anti-Bush forces in the wake of recent polls which suggest a boost for Bush since the Republican convention:

Look at us – what a bunch of crybabies. Bush gets a bounce after his convention and you would have thought the Germans had run through Poland again. The Bushies are coming, the Bushies are coming! Yes, they caught Kerry asleep on the Swift Boat thing. Yes, they found the frequency in Dan Rather and ran with it. Suddenly it's like, "THE END IS NEAR! THE SKY IS FALLING!"

No, it is not. If I hear one more person tell me how lousy a candidate Kerry is and how he can't win... Dammit, of COURSE he's a lousy candidate – he's a Democrat, for heavens sake! That party is so pathetic, they even lose the elections they win! What were you expecting, Bruce Springsteen heading up the ticket? Bruce would make a helluva president, but guys like him don't run – and neither do you or I. People like Kerry run.

Yes, OF COURSE any of us would have run a better, smarter, kick-ass campaign. Of course we would have smacked each and every one of those phony swifty boaty bastards down. But WE are not running for president – Kerry is. So quit complaining and work with what we have.

But despite the criticism of Kerry and the Democrats, Moore insists Bush can be defeated at the ballot box Nov. 2.

"Bush is a goner – if we all just quit our whining and bellyaching and stop shaking like a bunch of nervous ninnies," continues Moore. "Geez, this is embarrassing! The Republicans are laughing at us. ... It's never over for them until the last ballot is shredded. They are never finished – they just keeping moving forward like sharks that never sleep, always pushing, pulling, kicking, blocking, lying."

Moore tells readers it's time for a reality check, and that recent polls showing Bush ahead are not correct.

"They are all over the map like diarrhea," he says, claiming polls based on "likely voters" tend not to include young people who don't have a voting track record.

Moore finishes by issuing a final plea to those who'd like to see the president lose.

"The country is almost back in our hands. Not another negative word until Nov. 3rd! Then you can #*!@ all you want about how you wish Kerry was still that long-haired kid who once had the courage to stand up for something. Personally, I think that kid is still inside him. Instead of the wailing and gnashing of your teeth, why not hold out a hand to him and help the inner soldier/protester come out and defeat the forces of evil we now so desperately face."

PS to Moore, wait and see what the Swifties have in store of kerry next month. He will be wishing (if he isn't already) he never mentioned being a Swift Boat Vet.

I must admit it would be hard to only support a candidate because he isn't the current President.

But that's all they've got to run with. But I did enjoy the part where he tells the dems to quit whining....that would be nice if they take that suggestion to heart.

Today's paper says 6 of the 7 "swing states" that went for Gore now have Bush ahead.

Good grief, they're even saying that PA is now a toss up!

So Moore is a lying horrible anti-america n idiot... unless of course he says something you want to hear?

Sorry guys - you don't gt to spend endless months tearing someone down and then suddenly use him to your advantage... unles of course you don't mind being viewed as overwhelmingly hypocritical.

So now because Moore is bashing kerry and the demo's he has become a Bush supporter? I don't think so. Just reporting what the demo's favorite son has to say about the state of the demo party.

To me Moore is a worthless S.O.B.

He's a Traitor,Sucking money from the Gullible public who are willing to spend it to listen to his Propaganda!

He should have his Citizenship denounced and shipped to one of the other Countries he loves so much!

Doesn't matter what he says.
Pro or Con.
All worthless statements as far as I'm Concerned!

Nothing he could ever say could get me excited.

Since I live in PA I can tell you its no toss up. You should see the kerry signs and stickers on cars here in central pa.

Zogby shows kerry gaining some steam....he was most accurate in 2000, but its still way to early.

Nope, fenix, I still think Moore is an unkept, lowlife liar who hates America. But it's good for the 'other' side to see just how he feels about them too.

There simply isn't one candidate who would make a great President. Bush has already proven himself unfit to lead this country. Four years of nothing but disaster has proven Bush unworthy of another 4 years. Kerry isn't even close to being a great candidate, and Nader... well he's too busy feeding his ego that he couldn't lead this country out of a paper bag let alone unite the greens with neo-cons like the reform party. So, we must choose the best of the 3. Best, may be a far reach, but the better candidate is Kerry.

but the better candidate is Kerry.

Better for what?

He's a do nothing Senator, shows up only on pay day.
Double talks and weasels his way out of everything.
Wants to be elected because of something he did or didn't do 40 years ago.

The only thing I see him do is spend campaign money!
While he collects a Senators pay, for doing nothing.
(But they all do that!)

A Vietnam Hero so what?

I have a Buddy who's a Vietnam Hero, Great Guy.
But I wouldn't want him for President!
I have a purple Heart,but I'd make a piss poor President!

Bush my not be the best President.
But at least he says what he means and means what he says!

So maybe his advisers aren't the best, he has to follow their lead.
We all operate daily on what we are told, either we trust them or we don't.

Do you think Kerry won't follow his advisor's leads?

You know we are in for a Big tax increase if Kerry gets in.

Maybe if Edwards advises him we won't have to file taxes, we will all receive lawsuits in the mail in: 2005.

Who Knows?
It's just that the world is at a point now, I feel we should stay with someone who will fight if need be!

It's a Hard Call but I don't think we should be changing Horses midstream at this point.

Reagan: Quited down Terrorism when he was in.
Bush Sr.: sent Saddam running home with his tail between his legs.
Clinton: Deployed troop all over the world. And accomplished nothing. He even took a pot shot at Saddam.
Bush 2: Has definitely made the Terrorists think Twice.

Of course we are. How else do you think the government can pay off the debt? Bush isnt exactly what I would call a "fiscal conservative", infact his drunken sailor spending has many conservatives upset.

fenix, I agree that fat POS couldn't say anything to make me change his mind about him... unless of course it was he had a terminal disease and only had a few days to live...

Then I wouldn't call him fat...

I loved that story on Moore. A saint to 30% of the world, buffoon to the rest. The story in our paper said "Mr. Moore frequently represents his theories as fact."

I don't Know about electoral-vote.com. A lot there just doesn't jive. MI, for example has supposedly swung so far most have it as a solid red state.

And on todays Gallup News:

"Gallup’s latest poll shows President George W. Bush’s lead over Democratic candidate John Kerry growing wider than at any other time over the past several months."

Too funny! Dadof says," kerry"...Double talks and weasels his way out of everything."

You mean like bush got out of going to Vietnam because he was YELLOW.

But the REAL hilarity is "Bush my not be the best President.
But at least he says what he means and means what he says! "

Dadof, bush has no idea at any given time what he's saying. How about"OB/GYN doctors will lose their love with women ......"

What the f--- did THAT mean.??
he also just said a few days ago Iraq would be better off if we got out...he's a doofus!

How else do you think the government can pay off the debt?

The same way the clinton administration did. Revenue increases...more taxes are paid in automatically and the goverment has more than the budget...thereby decreasing a large part of the debt.

It's already happened to a small degree. We're $100B dollars LESS in debt than we were before...because of an improving economy.

Then clinton also decreased funding for our military to use to pay off some of our debt too. President Bush isn't likely to do that.

Didn’t Moore say if the next President was a Democrat and was screwing up he’d be just as hard on him as he is on President Bush? I think he just tells it like he sees it whether others approve of him or not. Some Democrats are whiners and Kerry is a poor choice in many ways. Bill Maher called Democrats 'weasels' when he was on Larry King last week. Seems like these guys can see both sides and are just being honest about it.
