Lets get away from politics and talk about other subjects as politics only arouses the meanness in people.
Baseball - Do you think Barry Bonds and/or Sammy Sosa were on Steroids when they had their stellar year of home runs?
This year wasn't a good year for them as the steroid question came up early in the baseball season so do you think they were on steroids the first year and not this year?
Can they prove it if one or the other were on them? Since I don't know to much about steroids except what I read about Lyle Azietto (football player and probably spelled the name wrong) and how he suffered from taking steriods, well he died from taking them.

I don't know jack about baseball. Could never really get that into it but I can tell you that Lyle Alzado (spelled correctly ) was a former Denver Bronco turned (gasp!) Oakland Raider who died of brain cancer which he credited to his use of steroids.
I once saw him in a charity exhibition boxing match with another legend that has fallen victim to a horribly dehabilitating disease... Mohammed Ali.

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

Alzado died of a brain tumor and came out publicaly about his use of steroids.
Whether Sosa or Bonds uses steroids brings out the worst in sports. I would say that fans want record breakers, no matter the cost... that is what pro sports has turned into.
As steroids are now illegal in pro sports, if they are found to have used them, then they need to be suspended.

Suspension isn't harsh enough. If Pete Rose couldn't play by the rules and was banned for life, then the same should be said for Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa, or any other major leaguer found guilty of using steroids. It is a matter of respect for the game that allows these people to receive their huge fat paychecks. If you want the big money, you have to play by the rules, not ignore them so that you can pad your statistics.
I hope that Bonds and Sosa are clean. I really do, just as I hope that Lance Armstrong is clean. It would be a shame to have these admirable figures found to be guilty of using drugs to improve their athleticism. What message does that send to our children who look up to these players? Sure, they shouldn't have to be role models, but the simple fact is that they are, and with the territory comes responsibility.

They may noy be using now, but I'd bet they were both juiced at one time. Not only should anyone caught be banned, they should have to give back the cash!
