Hi:

I have Windows XP.
Have DSL not dial up.

Does anyone know of a program that will allow me to send & receive FAXs from my computer?

Look in Start>All Programs> accessories> communications. That is where my fax is.

I was looking at it before.
Tells me I need a Fax Printer.

What does it take to set up?

Have you ever used it?

And if so does it work with DSL?

You cannot FAX over a DSL connection, but you can still send and receive faxes over your regular telephone lines.

Still would need a modem and software for faxing. So you can use your computer.

Found that out.
Just installed a program, says I still need a filtered line.
Not a problem, gonna try it.

Couldn't get the installed XP fax to work kept saying I need a Fax/Printer.

Not planning on buying any new hardware.

That would require a physical fax machine, it is look for one when you click on that wizard.

just like installing a printer. Dodofstickboy you can get printers that do fax also, then you would use that wizard.
