Listening to Brit Hume on Fox News tonight...he mentioned that kerry has been accused by the American Spectator....whoever they are for plagierizing the words of another.
Checked on google and the only thing I found was from May of this year when they accused him of plagierizing a speech John F. Kennedy was do give, had he not been assassinated.
So not sure if this is what Brit Hume was referring to or if kerry's been discovered doing it again.
kerry's more desperate than even I realized.
edited to add I can't get the American Spectator website to load for me either....but this is what Peoria Pundit had to say on it:
Kerry accused of plagiarism
This article is from the American Spectator, so take it for what it is worth.
On Thursday, at the conclusion of his speech in Seattle, Kerry said, "We do not have to live in fear or stand alone. We don't have to be a lonely watchman on the walls of freedom."
In a speech that his staff had billed as a "major" policy address, but which broke new ground and read like Kerry's stump speech, the watchman line is the most evocative and stands out.
But it turns out that Kerry -- or his speechwriters -- lifted it from a speech President John F. Kennedy was to give on the afternoon of November 22, 1963, at the Trade Mart in Dallas -- on the day Kennedy was shot and killed on his way to the event.
The transcript of that speech includes this line: "We, in this country, in this generation, are -- by destiny rather than by choice -- the watchmen on the walls of world freedom."
Kerry never attributed the line to Kennedy in his remarks, nor does the transcribed version of the Kerry's speech.

if kerry's elected...you're going to need much more than strength.

You can laugh all you want to.
Unfortunately President Bush decided to "go it alone" and "bring 'em on" all by himself.
He was too chicken to go to Vietnam but after invading Iraq he stuffed the crotch of his flight suit and declared "mission accomplished" and grinned while innocent young men and women who he had sent to war lost their lives or were maimed forever.
He tries to hide their coffins from the world. Out of sight and out of mind..... but they will never be out of my mind.
His actions have made the entire world more unsafe. If this is his idea of defending America, he is in desperate need of a reality check.
There he goes again! That low life villain!
What a crime! Using someone else's words!
Well, it's certainly a MUCH bigger crime than invading a country and slaughtering Americans and Iraqis with wild abandon for fun and profit......and it's certainly much worse than committing an outright act of treason by outing a CIA agent!

And what was our President doing on September 11th while our country was being attacked.....reading to a bunch of school kids. Why was he not defending America as the president should have been doing?

Once again we see that no leftie addresses the topic. Isn't that surprising? [no] Because no matter what kerry's actions are....he's all they've got.
But if a republican was caught plagiarizing the words of another....there would be hel1 to pay, I guarantee.
But at least I did get permission from kiara to laugh....so gracious of her, and maybe now she won't get so upset that I find so much that's posted here funny and laugh at it. But I'll still be surprised if this is the last of my laughing faces that she comments on. They seem to upset the lefties so much for some strange reason.
And of course, logansdad, who gets into his repetitious mode again and asks the same question, off topic of course, for the one hundredth time.
And here I thought the elite and well educated people took plagiarism seriously. Guess not.

And of course Linda misses the big picture of who was supposed to be protecting America while our country was being attacked. Instead she took her happy pill this morning and is posting smiley faces everywhere because she thinks plagiarizing a speech is more important than defending America.
Did Linda really take her happy pill today or is she smiling for other reasons?

Yellowstone, I deliberately put that in to see if you would focus on it instead of my entire message. You didn’t disappoint me.
And here I thought the elite and well educated people took plagiarism seriously.
Lindak, about the topic you’re trying so desperately to defend……… it’s not an issue. We are educated enough to recognize it as a nitpicking attempt to bash Kerry because you’re trying to defend your failed leader that you worship daily, the guy who doesn’t read and who doesn’t know the big words or their meanings.
But I can tell my previous post hit you where it hurts because you reacted with a crapload of smilies.

Once again I'll blow apart linda's post: She says,
"Once again we see that no leftie addresses the topic. Isn't that surprising? [no] Because no matter what kerry's actions are....he's all they've got."
(Ah, linda , I just did.)
"But if a republican was caught plagiarizing the words of another....there would be hel1 to pay, I guarantee. "
(So?)
"But at least I did get permission from kiara to laugh....so gracious of her, and maybe now she won't get so upset that I find so much that's posted here funny and laugh at it. (Again, linduh, you missed the point. Your smiley faces only upset us when you use them to right after someone posts the American death count in Iraq. What you also miss is the fact that we are usually laughing at your smiley faces because we can gauge how upset you're getting by how many smiliies you use, plus we know that only idiots laugh constantly and the mental picture of you laughing hysterically at your computer is comical.)
""And of course, logansdad, who gets into his repetitious mode again and asks the same question, off topic of course, for the one hundredth time.""
(Nobody has ever answered that question.)
"And here I thought the elite and well educated people took plagiarism seriously. Guess not."
(No, linda, we do take it seriously but in a different context. When you compare plagiarism to what else is happening in this country and around the world, the chaos and death brought on by the bush administration, we don't don't consider it a huge crime.....it hasn't killed anyone.
Our priorities are much different than yours....we don't care about Kerry's tan, how much his hair cut costs, or whether he uses a few words spoken by someone else.)
If you had taken my advice and done a little inward searching, your priorities might've been a little more in line with real humans....

No kiara it is an important issue to those who value honesty and good character. Just points out, once again, that kerry isn't a man of good character.
And cf...no, just those who want others to believe they're more educated so their opinions/views are the only ones that should matter...a pretense on their part...just like plagiarizing. Being educated doesn't automatically mean they have aquired even the tiniest bit of common sense, as is proven here on a daily basis.

Gee, linda, you missed most of my post. Why don't you C&P it so you can understand it.
Your only response:
""And cf...no, just those who want others to believe they're more educated so their opinions/views are the only ones that should matter...a pretense on their part...just like plagiarizing. Being educated doesn't automatically mean they have aquired even the tiniest bit of common sense, as is proven here on a daily basis. ""
I AGREE "Being educated doesn't automatically mean they have aquired even the tiniest bit of common sense"
But, linda, you have neither. And to knock education is a little ....well...backwards. Linda, education is not a scary thing...you should try some!

Really, both Bush and Kerry have adopted words & ideas from the past in their campaigns. Kerry uses ideas/phrases from Kennedy. Bush does the same with Reagan. So what? Politicians have done that forever. Not worth getting your knickers in a twist over.

Good lord - he used a six word phrase, not even a complete sentence and someone thinks this is actually news worthy. Sorry this is not an indictment of Kerry - this is an indictment of the media that actually thinks it's a new story. It's disgusting. Someone really should inform these people that there are much bigger problems in this world than someone using a previously non uttered 6 word phrase. It smacks of desperation, not to mention heinous journalism.

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?
