5,000 insurgents in Fallujah? I don't understand the problem. Evacuate the civilians and then carpet bomb Fallujah to the ground. We shouldn't lose even one US soldier or Marine.

Prof - go easy on EAG. He has mellowed. A few months ago he wanted us to nuke the entire arab penninsula. He has scaled down to get a single city... we are making progress

Military planes HAVE flown over dropping leaflets warning them to get out. Those left will be those who didn't follow the warning and want to fight.
Bombs have also been dropped on sites we suspect stored ammunitions were being stored. Soldiers will be going in soon. If you pray...pray for them all.
And the reality is if we bomb the whole place we lose less soldiers to enemy fire. To go in on foot means not only will we get to listen to all the anti-war people about the deaths but more of our own will die.

This is just another example of how differently the left and the right view war.
No one likes killing...no one. But the right understands that freedom doesn't come free...and inaction will not bring freedom. The left thinks people like this can be 'talked' out of their hatred for freedom which is unrealistic, to say the least.
binladen in his most recent tape blamed the 9-11 punishment to our country for a wrong doing he said took place back in the '80's involving Israel. He and others like him are always going to work towards destruction - all over the world.
Believing this radical terrorists groups can be 'reasoned with' is like saying we could talk helen into support President Bush. It's just NOT going to happen.

As I remember the Gulf War, US troops never went into Iraq so how did you get in? Besides I thought you were relatively safe in that ship somewhere........ you know, the one where the gays got tossed overboard?

I want to visualize this well so were you wearing your Army uniform or your Navy one or did you take both?
Did you meet Saddam? Did you meet his sons? They must have been barely pubescent then so I bet as far as minds went you must have got along great, eh? What were their names....... Kiara I will be happy to tell you about my experiences... just as soon as you tell is about your marriage and children, grandchildren... you have a knack of learning about others personal experiences, then ridiculing them at a later date. It's about time you share some of your personal stories, tell us how you met your husband? about how you raised your children...
Other than that, you can either believe me or not... my friends and family know...neither of which you are...

As far as my personal life goes, I've never disclosed it on these boards so I don't have to answer to anything about it or explain it to you or anyone.
I realize Linda_k isn't your mother and did I say that anywhere above? I was under the false impression that she said her son was in Iraq and I'm sorry if I misunderstood as I thought I read here recently where people wished for his safety and she never said otherwise so I truly thought he was there also.
It's just NOT going to happen.
