The way John Kerry handled himself the last couple of weeks of the campaign was disgraceful. The lies he told and the way the media perpetuated them were outrageous. Even my beloved Fox news took what he said as the truth and very seldom questioned him.
It was very frustrating seeing this occur. While I was confident that Bush would win the way Kerry was getting away with these lies was very worrisome. The election was going to be very close and I felt that whoever had the momentum going into the end had a good chance of winning.
When the first wave of "faulty" exit polls came out I thought my fears were coming true. But Thank God the voters saw through Kerry's lies.
The immoral and desperate way the johns ran their campaign indeed made this victory EXTRA SWEET.

Where do ya start...............
LIE.....
John Kerry in a press conference repeated his accusation that Gen. Eric Shinseki was "forced out" as U.S. Army chief of staff because he wanted more troops for Iraq
LIE.....
Kerry said the Bush administration may push reinstatement of the military draft, when in fact that idea comes only from anti-war Democrats.
LIE......
Kerry said retired Gen. Tommy Franks complained that Iraq was draining troops from Afghanistan, when the truth is he never did.
LIE......
Kerry blamed Bush for higher Medicare premiums when in fact they are mandated by law (one that Kerry voted for).
LIE......
taking away social security?
LIE.......
Campaign commercials based on forged CBS documents?
LIE.....
Campaign commercial and speech after speech based on false weapon cache story?
LIE.....
Blaming Bush for flu vaccine issue which can actually be traced back to Clinton policies?
I could go on and on!!
The point is Kerry based his campaign on fear-mongering and on "news of the day". He NEVER was able to wage a solid, honest and honorable campaign. It was a mess! The only reason he even made it close was the media gave him a free ride.
He was a joke!!

Why are some of you guys still so mad at Kerry? It's almost like you're venting because he lost and you won't be able to keep bashing him as President.
Give it a break... it's not like he did something so wrong like getting a blow job.

Kiara, in your eyes, Clinton just got a 'blowjob', but what he did was:
1. cheat on his wife
2. waggle his finger on national tv and outright lie to the American public. (Like we dont understand what constitutes sexual relations.....
and
3. finagle a congressional hearing with the hokiest BS about what "is" "is".....
.... yeah, he did wonders for term integrity you so claim to stand for. But lets just call it a simple bj and leave it at that because thats all he really did.

Kerry lied throughout the entire campaign not to mention his goofy wife who was way out of her league. She was totally outclassed by Laura Bush.

Hi neroter.... hope things are going well for you these days. Just so you know, I think all politicians lie.
I just can't equate the blow job to the unjust war in Iraq by the Bush/Cheney lie machine that has killed so many. Yet some of you think they never lie and only Clinton and Kerry did so no use discussing it further.

Hi ya, dozenrod!
Guess I must have missed all the pro-Kerry threads because they got lost in Bear's multitude of bash-Kerry threads.
BTW, I was just thinking of you yesterday when I read this story about a Gulf War Veteran suing the government because he's being called back to active duty in Iraq. Seems like he's started a business and they just expect him to dump it and let it go down the crapper. He's served his full time and was discharged.
You got your papers yet or are they saving the old farts until last?

I read that to and was wondering how his enlistment was laid out.
If he entered as a 3x6 3 years active duty, 6 years active reserve, he may have some inactive reserve time left... he maybe at the end of his time, so they recalled him back before it expired.
If called back I would go...
But I can see his side, his life would be destroyed as he knows it and it has been 13 years... more of the young IRR's left to call.
I do know of some that were called back, they did not go to Iraq, just replaced those stateside that did go...

So twelvepole, since you have so much faith in President Bush do you trust him not to start any more wars or do you think more will be better for all? Where do you think they will keep getting the troops from without a draft?
One more question..... who wrote your sigline?

He didn't start the Iraq war, he finished the mandated UN resolution.... he did what that inept Org could not do in the last 12 years...
War is not pleasant however if it needs done, I would prefer it be there and not here...
I trust President Bush to do the right thing...
My sig line was found on one the anti-homosexual sites I read... it seems all the homosexuals and supporter can say is that if you don't support them you are a bigot... well... I thought it fit right here on this board...

President Bush didn't start the war? Show me where the UN gave him permission to go into Iraq. While the UN can be kind of frustrating at times, don't hide behind the UN skirt now and use them as the excuse.
Bush decided to ignore the UN and go in anyways and he hid behind lies to do it too.
I figured you didn't write your sigline because it wasn't your style of writing. Thanks for the explanation.

"Show me where the UN gave him permission to go into Iraq"
*****************************************
UNSCR 678 - November 29, 1990
Iraq must comply fully with UNSCR 660 (regarding Iraq's illegal invasion of Kuwait) "and all subsequent relevant resolutions."
Authorizes UN Member States "to use all necessary means to uphold and implement resolution 660 and all subsequent relevant resolutions and to restore international peace and security in the area."
*****************************************
The war is actually a continuation of the 1st gulf war. Saddam Hussein has repeatedly violated this and all of the other 15 UN resolutions. Unfortunately it took the attacks of 9/11 for us to realize that something finally needed to be done with Iraq. Just because some members were bought out by the dictator doesn't mean we didn't have the right to finish the 1st war.
In the end I really don't give a %$#$ about the UN. It is just an impotent organization that sits around a talks about stuff

Thankfully, we have a President that doesn't wait for the arm chair quarterbacks in the UN to guess what he should do. The president's job is to defend America and put America first.
