Not so useless actually - Did you know that it is also a great way to avoid infection and scarring in a healing wound, especially in races that are given to Keloids, for the same reason that it does not spoil? Honey contains a natural antibiotic.

fenix, you know whats funny though? I put some honey in the frig (I had turned up the thermo real high for whatever reason ...and of course everything froze over), but then when I took it out awhile later it seemed to crystalize. Like all the sugar on the top? I thought that odd. ...So that one might not be necessarily be true about it never going bad. I mean ya know, if ya take it up to mount everest with ya or something...!
My DH is a honey and garlic freak!! Got a sore throat, honey and garlic... Cant sleep-honey and garlic; broken leg, honey and garlic...having a heart attack: honey and garlic!!... He drives me nuts with all his concoctions and theories!! Right now he is on this lemon juice kick....

Honey, like beer and pretty girls, is proof that the universe is not an accident.

Nero - Honey wil crystalize because it's a sugar but it does not spoil. You can still use/eat the crystalized honey but if you don't like it, if you heat it, the crystals will reliquify.
Wanna switch his kick... introduce him to sassafras root. Stomach ache, Cold, Flu? Sassafras Tea. Tooth Ache, Mouth Sores? Chew a little of the root.
And no garlic breath

Useless information.. Useless Triva - I guess they are the same. Nevertheless, no matter how relentless (not to mention pitiful, pathetic and desperate) your message board stalking efforts may be, you will never be my king.
Alas, you will have to settle with your existing lesser title of King of Incorrect Information.

fenix, I'll tell him about it, thanks. We've pretty much run the gamut here with health foods but he hasnt bumped into that one just yet!
do you know one time I had some heartburn like symptons and he's telling me to drink lemon juice with cayanne pepper in it!!! I'm like, "what are you crazy - trying to kill me off?!! LOL!! But afterwards went by the healthfood store and the guy there was telling me that he thought you'd actually do need something acidic to combat it and he recommended some type of enyzymes and acidolophous (sp*..sorry)
