I need your advice please.
Unlike Crow and a couple of others who are using their ebay id's as their vendio board names...mine is not the same.
I opened my personal email this morning to find an email from Stonecold using Vendio as a return address.
I do not know how he got my personal information and email. I need advice as to how to proceed. I think stonecold is twelve and now I am being harassed at my personal home email.. please advise.. below is a copy of the email he sent.

Wow,
I am honored to be a Twelve clone. At least I am not a dumb assed lefty.

How is it possible that he got my personal information or as a member of Vendio are all of our email address made public?

Thanks Maggie
Edited to add.. the return path address on the email was..."[email protected]"

Hi Maggie,

No need to panic. Below the box that you write your messages in here, you probably clicked "Email Notification: emails sent to you whenever someone replies."

You get everyone's responses to the thread in your e-mail through Vendio but the other posters don't have any of your personal info.

Kiara.. I know the box you are talking about, but I don't ever check it.. I am really concerned that this clown has my email and personal information. But just for the benifit of a doubt.. would you kindly post a message on that thread for me and see if I receive it in my email.. thanks Maggie

Okay. It may take awhile to show up as sometimes the e-mail notifications are slower.

BTW, it's a handy tool at times. Especially if you're not here and someone gets whacko and starts ranting at you and then thinks more rationally or comes off the drugs later and edits it all. Sometimes it's fun to see what they really said.

Thanks Kiara.. I checked the return paths of both your's and Stonecold's messages and they appear to be the same.. so I am relieved. With all the threats and insinuations that have been flying around lately.. this was quite a shock. I never check that box.. but I will assume that I must have by mistake in this instance.

Thanks again for your help.. Maggie

Maggie - despite the rampant paranoia in the mind of one of your posting friends here (who got worked and still cannot see it), the people here are nowhere near as evil as portrayed.

Thank you Helen! SOME in here really like to shoot their mouths off without knowing any facts....doesn't seem to bother them.

However fenix doesn't like me so thinks anything goes...........

OK all you "bravehearts"....start posting your seller ID s

C'mon you cowards, if this wasn't serious YOU shouldn't have a problem with letting us know how we can find your auctions!

C'mon, big mouths, POST.

Come on Helen - if you can't tell a work when one is staring you in the face then all I have to say is stay away from carnivals and snake oil salesmen.

Am I the only one that was clearing able to see that he was f*cking with her head and that she pranced along like a puppet on a string. Hell, I think I can hear him still giggling now.

I would not want to take a chance that he was "just playing a game". He had made his feelings toward crowfarm and maggie perfectly clear before the auction question. Actually, I would have been even more paranoid than crowfarm. I would have ended my auction early and changed my selling ID.
I don't want someone who clearly hates me having access to my personal information.

Why take a chance? It's the reason that most people keep their Ebay ID private.

None of your business. Not only do I not tell people on discussion boards but I don't tell friends or family members either. The only people that need to know my income level is my bankers and the IRS. End of discussion.

Hey, stone, or twelve. There are ways to get an info dump of all the goods this chicken dropping is suddenly skered you might have. Somebody is suddenly afraid that their nastiness here might come back and bite them in the ass! If I had been as nasty and foul mouthed as this cretin I might be skered too!

I have a couple of recommendations:

1. Run

2. Hide

Fenix, a couple of years back Twelvepole didn't get along with another poster who I supported in the Outlook so he made up an untrue story that I ripped off my customers, even though he didn't know me or my selling ID. Lots of new people were joining Vendio and it was my business reputation at stake.

Maybe some think this is all a joke but when it comes to someone's business I sure don't. For new users coming to the forums, they don't have any history to go on. What if they really think crowfarm is a shiller or that I rip off my customers? It's a low way to attack anyone.

BOY, do YOU ever sound paranoid! Not even your family! YOU must REALLY have a lot to hide! Little hidden key word spamming maybe????

Why ever NOT? WHY, if it's no big deal, can't you tell us your selling ID?

C'mon, big mouth, why not? If everybody in here is just joking around WHY, big mouth, can't you tell us your seller ID?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

POINT!

Crow - should I type slower so that you can understand the adult speak? My income level is none of your business. It is none of Kiara or Krafty or Twelves or my mothers either.

The other reason could be that just like McDonalds not giving the recipe for their special sauce or the Colonel telling just what that special blend of spices is... I don't tell all the secrets to my success.

Now if this is unacceptable to you.. too bad. Damn shame I was smart enough not to intermingle my posting id with my selling IDs. It's called "protecting your market share" but I'm sure in your twisted little mind will take it down some other supposedly nefarious road.

From fenix's very own post........"""""You seem to live in a world overflowing with paranoia and negativity."""""

And then is afraid to share her seller ID even with her own family (of course, HER family is probably a bunch of deadbeat bidders so I can understand that).

DUH! fenix, hate to break the new but just about anyone can check your auctions....gee, even your buyers. I doubt very much you have much to hide (in the way of profits).

Why am I paranoid but you're not????
Sorry, DEARIE, but you ran around a corner into your own butt on this one!

"protecting your market share" I AM ROFLMAO, you pathetic fool.

Fenix..can you blame me for being a tad paranoid when Twelve has told me over and over again how he despises me and if I was burning to death in front of him, he wouldn't even pizz on me to put the fire out!

Kinda creepy, don't you think.. we all get mouthy and use unkind words from time to time but he takes things to the next level.

As far as the email I received this morning.. I am assuming that it must have been my error..I may have inadvertently checked the email notification box by mistake?

In response to your post, I agree, I believe most here are good souls, but as I am sure you are aware, there are many people who post on the Internet who are indeed unbalanced and one should never let their guard down...especially when someone voices their extreme hatred toward you...it just makes sense to be careful.. don't you think.

For instance, I seem to have an on-going feud with Libra, she has had me booted by going to Vendio with a complaint against me..and I am sore about that.......Although we don't get along ,and her scattered thoughts bug the hell out of me, I certainly would never take any of this further than this message board.

I may not like what posters say, but that doesn't mean I dislike them personally or hold any bad feelings toward them... how can you hate and despise someone that you don't even know??

Maggie - For two years I have read Twelves posts here and his ones in the EO and quite frankly, the venom that he let loose here never jibed with the personality of the EO posts. Although I admit that I bit more than once on his baiting posts the one thing I have always felt was that the Twelve that posted in RT was a put on.

When you and Crow came along with your posting styles he was like a kid in a candy store. He could piss you guys off and send you into tizzies of insults and curses by doing little more than signing on.

I would not have been afraid of Twelve because quite frankly, from the business dicussions that he has been a part of in EO, that would not be his style. I think that Twelves dirty little thrill is in baiting people and then letting their own imanginations drive them up a wall while he sits back and giggles his fool head off.

Apparently, Fenix you are at least one of the very few. Whenever there is a shadow of a doubt, I don't see how you can fail to understand the need for caution...or why you have chosen to make such a big deal about it.

Fenix, a couple of years ago Twelvepole was very much like he is now at the RT when he posted at the Outlook and he got booted off a couple of times for attacking others.

To 'bait' anyone by attacking, threatening and lying about their business ethics is a low way to go. New users to the forums have no idea who is the honest one. There are other ways to bait and attack if one had the good sense to think.

I made a big deal of it? Good lord Helen, count up the posts here that involve paranoia regarding the retribution of Twelve. Now please site an example of it. What I am trying to point out is that it was a bluff. It was not even a good bluff but Chicken Little over there bit into it and then Maggie got it and then you and others played with it too. But at the end of the day... it was still a bluff. I'm just pointing out why it should have been recognized as such so that maybe in the future we don't have to go down this road again.

Maybe it was a bluff but in the process, he accused crowfarm of auction interference by saying that he had shilled auctions. That's not the kind of game that anyone should play. Read about Kiara's experience.

And in addition to the reputation of sellers, he attacked posters here...at one time advocating that I should be shot.
http://www.vendio.com/mesg/read.html?num=28&thread=207653&id=207692

Do you call that a head game too, Fenix???
I'll bet you would be singing a different tune if it happened to you.

What's the matter, fenix, can't or couldn't read the rest of my post where I show you to be the fool you are.?

If the RT is SO safe and people are only playing mind games then

WHY DON'T YOU POST YOUR seller ID?????????????????????????????????????????????????

WHY? Your customers and others can look up your auctions to see your HUGE() profits.......so what's the big secret you're hiding?

C'mon, you missed the part of my post where I ask you to share your seller ID if it doesn't pose a problem in here.........YOOU ran into your own butt again......

C'mon POST IT CHICKENSHIT! If it's just so safe ! Quit being so paranoid!
