Can you believe it? Amber Frey, who dated Scott Peterson for 5 weeks, and made all those tapes, has come out with a book already. What a professional victim she is!

So, it does pay to be a slut. Who knew.

Why do you say she is a slut? I thought he told her he was single.. is she a slut because she dates?? Did I miss something?

How much would you like to bet that a good chunk of the book sales was the price of having Gloria Alred play interference for her? to tell you the truth, I think that Amber Frey was the person that put Peterson in jail so I hardly begrudge her some book sales.
If she had not gone to the police and volunteered to tape her calls with Scott I doubt that he would have been convicted. She put herself in the public eye and got raked over the coals for months by the tabloids because she came forward so if at the end of the day she is able to turn the tables and get something positive out of it for herself then more power to her.

Yeah, Maggie, you missed the book. She was going out on a blind date with this fool and made pre-arrangements to have her child baby-sat for the night. The sitter reminded her that she had to be at work the next morning. My opinion is mirrored in several reviews I have read that savage her even worse, and, no, I couldn't find the link.

And in this climate of AIDS and rampant STD's I hold him in no better esteem.

I agree with you also fenix.
I think Parklane you need to change that word to someone who helped the police nab Scott Peterson, and also helped in his conviction. What do you call this person that killed his wife and unborn child?
Was it her fault he LIED on the TV show where he said he did NOT kill his wife and he not only said once but twice.
Was it Amber's fault that she went out on a date with him and he told her he was single? All he did was wine and dine this women. Said things to her that probably she like to hear but were all lies. Did she know that?
I agree with her whole heartedly about the book deal, also there is going to be a made for TV movie. She was a great help to the police and for that she should be rewarded.
What do you call a man that does what he did to a wife and unborn child?

I don't buy it. She was hurt by Scott's lies and the tapes were her way of getting back at him. The fact that they helped the police was a bonus. Her voice is about 5 octives higher than her normal voice on those tapes which tells me she was putting on a show for someone. She comes out with a book 2 weeks after the conviction?? She sure seems self-centered to me, whether she was the key to the case or not.
Parklane, those links were hilarious! The main page looks like it was written by a pre-schooler.

She was more than HURT by his lies. He had tools and such in his car and if he did that to his wife and unborn child was she the second victim.
We know that he didn't want children but still he persued Amber and she had a child.
I cannot say what I would have done in her shoes, but in America opportunities for making money are readily available and I certain would have written that book. I think most would have.

Scott did not take the photos. They are old photos she did when trying to get into modeling that the photographer sold to a tabloid after she came forward.

I always have wondered why people would spend their money on books like these as we're all heard the story, over and over and over and over. But it's the way they all go...get whatever financial advantage they can out of the situations they placed themselves.

The nude pictures are on the links provided above.

And didn't she get pregnant and have another child by a boyfriend since the relationship with Scott? I believe I read that somewhere.

Linda, there is probably more juicy tidbits in the book that can't be said on TV and that is why I think they buy the book. Other than that I know she won't be making money off of me as I won't read the book or watch the TV movie.
I think Lacy Petersons's family is greatful for her with the testimony she gave because I think that is what convicted him.

fenix-
I didn't know who took the pictures of her. (Didn't even know about them!) Should she make money from Scott's site for displaying them?
classic-
It would take 520 weeks (approximately) for me to let anyone take nude photos of me. It's not like it's going to improve with age as a fine wine would...
We should be thankful this murderer is off the streets. It's takes a special kind of monster to do what he was convicted of. I wonder how many poor lonely "Ambers" there are, writing to him in prison, professing their undying love and devotion.

Let's start pre-production. That timeline sounds about right for some of the current movie producers.
