It seems like some sellers think that eBay buyers are so gullible as to buy anything...

one seller had the gall to place some third grader finger painting up and dared to call it "impressionist"

ROFL, as someone that enjoys art, I about fell out of my chair when this came up under my search...

Do sellers have no shame?

Twelve - you seem to be forgetting about the 4 or 5 year old whose "finger paintings" are selling in galleries in the thousands.

Twelve the artist and the seller were probably one and the same. Considering their mental ability they painted to their own level.

Caveat Emptor was first said a long time before Ebay came on the scene. There have always been dummies falling all over themselves to throw their money away, and there have always been those who were ready to take it. It isn't right, and it isn't anything new.

Impressionistic is a style of painting. It has nothing to do with the age.
