I am sure there were many people in government at that time that thought those "what if" scenarios would never come true.
I feel the government needs to stop dismissing these "what if" scenarios and develop plans to prevent them in case they do come true.
What amazes me is that the airlines have tried to prevent improvements in air safery over the past 20 years. Even after the Lockerbie bombing, the airlines refused to implement explosive proof luggage conatiners in their cargo holds.
A simple thing that could have prevented the 9/11 attacks is locking the cockpit doors or reinforcing them.
Absolute faith has been shown, consistently, to breed intolerance. And intolerance, history teaches us, again and again, begets violence.
