Hello all Democrats. I just spent a month in a couple South East or so called red states. I sure am glad I am back to Pennsylvania where the majority of people can still think independently. In the red states visited it seems lot of people had a glazed look in their eyes like they are brain washed. I am guessing these people will wake-up when very few of the things promised them come true.

For me, no red today,no red tomorrow,no red forever.

I'm not sure if replay lives in WA, I do.

I am one that is for a revote, but doubt it will happen

Does anyone here really know what happened?
I know Rabunzel, who used to post here lived up here in WA.

Short readers digest version

Nov 2 Rossi (R) Won over Gregoire (D) by 92 Votes

Automatic Recount-Rossi (R)Won by 140? something over Gregoire (D)

Gregoire in a speech called it a 'virtual' TIE. Paid for a manual recount

She won by 129 votes.

Now, my question is this; if 140 is a 'virtual' tie, would not 129 be an even more 'virtual' tie?

its a joke. But its a blue state.

My numbers of the recounts may not be exact, but they are very close, wrote from memory, and you know how it is when you get old

Crowfarm, Rossi isn't an ex Governer. That would be Gary Locke. Christine Gregoire, Dem. is the Governer now.

Rossi is a State Senator.

PA can't really be considered a blue state.....as a poster recently noted...it's more of a purple state.

2004 Presidential votes in PA were:

kerry = 2,885,773
President Bush = 2,756,904

So I hope you've returned to the part of PA where the 1/2 of the state voters agree with your political views....

I always thought of Pa as very nice state, I also love WA, because I was born here.

Do you think that half of PA walks around with a glazed over look?

Linda? Purple? LOL!

No, I'm nowhere near Washington State, and honestly, this is the first I've even heard about this situation, which says something right there. I'm no super-political junkie, but if the election were that close, you think it'd make the news or even a couple big news websites

SOMEBODY must want to keep this quiet. I suspect black helicopters.

So Near, what did happen there? Is the loser now the winner, or was it too late, or what's the final deal?

Gregoire is the Govern O r now

replay, I'm not a political junkie either but when its on the local TV news and radio day in and day out, you get to hear it alot!

LOL on the Black Helicopters, no, I don't know if it did get into the national news, I DO know that John Kerry was one of the major contributors to the 3rd manual recount, as she needed almost 1 mil. to do it.

In the end, she had her manual recount, won by 129 votes, and made a speech saying 'lets all move on now'. So she is the Gov. now.

crowfarm, I'm not being picky. Its just that Rossi was never the Governor, he was the Gov. Elect 2 times though, the Sec. of State certified him on the 2nd recount.

Its a crazy story

Yep...kerry gave leftover money from his campaign to help her out.

Just like the dem did in 2000...don't like the first two counts...force the counts to go on and on until they get the results they want. It worked this time.

And the higher court has refused to hear the case ...so she's the winner.

I hope this doen't post twice

yeah, I believe it is over.. I was sick, and also sick of the whole thing.

But I googled some articles

http://www.uspoliticstoday.com/news/WashingtonGovernorCampaign2004

http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/12/18/washington.governor/

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2004/12/07/politics/main659514.shtml

The numbers are more accurate than what I posted above on all the recounts, mine were off, but he still won on 2 tallies.

I say, let them flip a coin, I've heard they've settled other election disputes that way!

What the Democrats did in Washigton was to make sure ALL the votes were counted, something the neonazicons hate with a passion.

They are very anti-American and don't believe everyone's vote should be counted.....

There wasn't just a recount but a re-FIND in some instances, out and out fraud in some instances...very complicated.

But in America, land of liberty and freedom we have the right and the duty to protect everyone's right to vote and have their vote counted....you can see the neonazicons don't believe in basic rights.

I believe in every basic right and more.

I don't believe that felons in prison have the right to vote though, there are some in the DNC that believe they do.

I believe every legal vote should count

And I still don't get the 'neonazicon' name.

The people in the southeast are pretty delirious, too. Most people get going away parties, but bigpeepa got a gone party.

You confuse glazed look with studied avoidance, they just didn't want to argue politics with a wacko Northerner liberal.

So.. Bear are you telling us that the only way one can maintain one's sanity under the "Reign of the Rabid Chimp" is to take mind altering drugs...ah.. that explains the euphoria of the Repugs laughing, and partying and cheering on the Rabid One.. as he plunges our country deeper and deeper into debt and disgrace....

1. usually offensive : a mildly mentally retarded person
2 : a very stupid person

Big Peepa why not post the web site so others can laugh. Even my husband who is a democrat thought it was out of line. Many talk about the conservatives that keep bringing everything up. The web site is a joke. Democrats cannot not understand that they LOST the election and yes there is 4 more years and if they don't get their act together it will be another 4 years.

Now go drive around your countryside promoting the democratic agenda as they will make you feel really good. Maybe you could sell a Republican some small item at an outlandish price and come back to tell us about it.
