This says a lot about German bars...

Wonderful...so now women who are possibly raising children will lose their un-employment benefits if they don't CHOOSE to become whores...or work in the sex industry in some way or other. Wonder if those same charming liberals are going to
feed the child of the few women who might still have some morals and don't CHOOSE to prostitute themselves.
But hey, it just might become the European way...the way so many left-leaning Americans support all they do in Europe and bash our value systems here.

Well Linda they probably make some good money so I would suggest women who get their wages cut move to Germany. Clear out the riff raff in the US.

Ya, linduh, using someone else to do your insulting for you....does slithering on your belly ever chafe?
Haven't been back to the flip-flop thread ????????????
I consider that women who wait on men hand and foot, are subservient and obedient for an income are nothing more than whores ........you and libra.
libra , we all knew you could sling the dirt just like everyone else and totally unprovoked, too.
Dear stupid, did you ever figure out the difference between "cryptic" and "graphic"....no, I didn't think so.
I would have thought you'd be in support of what's happening in Germany. Get's women off the welfare rolls.
What a nutty thing that is! I know that in Europe they aren't as hung up about sex as we are here, but this is going just too far. And, bear, I'd hardly call that liberalism. No liberal I know of here would be in support of that measure. In fact, it would be just the opposite.

AND LOL on crowfarm 'calling' someone on the way he/she's acts all the time to others. Can give it out...but doesn't take it well at all.
Get back on your meds crowfarm, or lay off the 'sauce'....your twisted post certainly doesn't describe Libra or myself....but what would I expect coming from someone like you. To understand what a loving relationship is like? No, I don't think so. If it's not war on men....those evil men....then it's war on women.

Well...I've seen people post here who support legalizing prostitution in the US....which is how this 'FORCED work' came about in the first place. Please notice it's the liberals who want to FORCE women to do this. Not the religious right.
And I did notice it didn't speak to the issue of men being forced to do these jobs....I wonder....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Four More Years....YES!!!
I doubt highly that if the US legalized prostitution that anyone would be forced into it. We have protections here that are not afforded in Europe. It's not even something you can compare. Legalizing prostitution here will help curb the spread of STD's. In particular, AIDS. It's hasn't hurt Las Vegas. I haven't heard of anyone there being forced into it.
I do, however, see your point on men! LOL! There must not be as many desperate women in Germany as there are men. Either that or the men in Germany just don't do anything for their women in the sex department.
linduh, linduh, linduh, just because you say something doesn't make it true...."Can give it out...but doesn't take it well at all."
I take it AND give it back quite well.
My"twisted " post? linduh, that's what you say about anyone's post when they show you to be the creepy thing you really are. Profe found that out and so have many others. You DO let others do your name calling for you.....very devious and sneaky...neocon-ish.
No, the "religious" right like sneaking around with their whores....more exciting than a legal one.
WHO in the U.S. brought about "forced work" in Germany ?????????????????
I'm a liberal and I'm against it....see, YOU ARE WRONG!
cheryl, I bet there are many there who thought the same thing at one time...now they're seeing differently.
They're beginning to see the consequences of 'it doesn't affect me' mind think.
We have protections here that are not afforded in Europe. It's not even something you can compare.
What protections do we have here that would be that's so different from their's? I seriously doubt many expected/could have predicted these legal challenges from the 'sex agencies' when they made this legal.
And I'd also like to know WHAT brothels you're speaking about in Las Vegas. I thought they were all closed down or had gone out of business.
I'm talking about legalized prostitution in Las Vegas. I didn't use the word Brothel. Show me where I said "brothel". Please learn to comprehend what you read. It would save us all a lot of trouble.
What protections do we have here? Hmmm, I thought we were a free nation. Free to pursue our own course. We outlawed slavery (and it can be considered slavery) long ago. Maybe you see a change coming? No one in this country is forced to do anything they don't want to discounting those who are inprisoned. I believe I've read the Republicans on this board saying that a time or two. Do you see a change coming in your crystal ball? Our government and how we are ruled is unlike any in any other nation. To compare what is happening in Germany to what you think could happen here is just plain silly. Unless you foresee this administration pulling it on us. Now that wouldn't be hard to swallow. Besides, the religious right has such a strong-hold on this country it would never happen.
Again, your narrowmindedness is clouding your vision. I am getting tired of trying to set you straight and trying to get you to stop reading what isn't there. I now get Helen's, KD's and Kiara's points. Geesh. It's tiring.
::Actually if done correctly many states have limits on welfare... making mothers get a min wage job... which they should do::
Thats what I was thinking reading this. Imagine if it was legal, and then you go to unemployment or welfare. "...Well, dearie, there is an opening for a 'hore, you can do that, cant you?? Git yer butt to work or no coco-pops for the kiddies"!
Oh twelve, and I here I was going to 'call' cheryl on her high and mighty attitude and point out she was wrong....and should worry more about getting her FACTS straight...rather than worrying about my reading abilities.
....when you had to go and say that.
When did they make it legal?
This is what I found ....stating it's NOT legal. But it doesn't have a date on it.
The Law
"Prostitution is legal out here, right?", the tourist asked the security officer in the casino. "Tell him. Tell my friend here, that it's legal.", the man went on.
"Yes, it's legal in some Nevada counties. No, it's not legal in Clark County. Las Vegas is in Clark County. So, no it's not legal in Las Vegas, or Mesquite or Laughlin or Henderson or Boulder City.", the officer explained.
"Then why is there one sitting at your bar over there?", the tourist asked.
"I said it's illegal in this town. I didn't say there weren't any prostitutes. We'll take care of it.", the officer replied.
That's a scene that is repeated in casinos all over town every day. It's a fairly common belief that prostitution is legal in Las Vegas.
Here is Nevada Revised Statute 244.345.
NRS 244.345 Dancing halls, escort services, entertainment by referral services and gambling games or devices ; limitation on licensing of houses of prostitution.
'8. In a county whose population is 400,000 or more, the license board shall not grant any license to a petitioner for the purpose of operating a house of ill fame or repute or any other business employing any person for the purpose of prostitution.
Clark County, the Nevada county that Las Vegas is situated in, has had a population over 400,000 since the very early 70s. Not that the law had much to do with prostitution here before or shortly after that time. The large, Strip hotels had a prostitution 'center' in those days. The bell captain could provide everything, but we'll get back to that.
Another statute clearly establishes, that where prostitution is legal, the safe distance for a 'house of ill fame', from student classrooms or houses of God is 400 yards.
NRS 201.380 Location of houses of ill fame.
'1. It shall be unlawful for any owner, or agent of any owner, or any other person to keep any house of ill fame, or to let or rent to any person whatever, for any length of time whatever, to be kept or used as a house of ill fame, or resort for the purposes of prostitution, any house, room or structure situated within 400 yards of any schoolhouse or schoolroom used by any public or common school in the State of Nevada, or within 400 yards of any church, edifice, building or structure erected for and used for devotional services or religious worship in this state.'
That said, let's see what Clark County has to say about hookers within county lines. For this, we go to Chapter 12.08 Prostitution, of Title 12, Public Peace, Safety and Morals, of the Clark County Code, where we find that not only is the 'Maintaining of a place of prostitution unlawful', but that 'Accosting and Soliciting (is) unlawful in the county.
"Classic didn't Ventura really turn the welfare system around there?"
Twelve-I dont know-I dont live in Minnesota.
Being the fact that Crow actually lives there,I know the place must be a sh*thole.
Gov Pataki has done wonderful things with the welfare system here in New York.He stated anyone that refused to work that was able to, would be executed after the first year he was in office.I know this is harsh,but this has done wonderful things for the state of New York.First of all, that miserable b*tch crowfart will not move here, which is good for New York.2nd its amazing all the people that found jobs that previously were unable to find one,so the jobless rate in New York is zero.3rd this has cut over a half a billion from our taxes feeding and supporting these "oxygen stealers" 4th-the thousands who still refused to work have been executed in Sing-Sings electric chair and used for stem cell research.Of course the down side to this is,and which really annoys me, is that my electric bill has gone up.Now that we have all these bodies for stem cell research,the life expectancy in New York ranges from 140-to 150 and we will actually become better looking(if thats possible).Now we have plenty of stem cell research which makes the democrats happy and no welfare which makes the republicans happy-the Gov has a life time job here.
