I think this President is a great example of what a good leader is...how he handles the really tough decisions he's been called on to make. How he stands his ground...not wavering with the change in political climate. How he respects and loves his family. How he's not ashamed to speak about his faith. He was in the right place at the right time. And he's made it clear to the world he's not afraid to take on those who wish us harm. He also influenced the UN decision making process.
That being said:
A good leader also listens well. Then digests what others have shared. And has the ability to make hard decisions and take responsibility for them.
A good leader doesn't take himself so seriously. Has a sense of humor. He/she can joke about themself.
A good leader recognizes his own personal strengths and weaknesses. And 'shores up' his weak areas with others around him whose strengths he notices and appreciates.
A good leader is friendly and respectful of others. And has a certain way of heaping praise on those around him for their efforts.
A good leader has the ability to convince others his method/plan is the way to go. To 'sell' it to them, if you will.
A good leader works to remain positive in great adversity.
And I agree...'to thy own self be true' is so very important. Otherwise who are you ...really?

Not me. I'm too sick and tired. I'll leave her to her claims. There are none so blind as those who would not see.

LOL classic - I have long loved your sense of humor....and it continues. No, I don't ever expect to get much agreement around here. But I sure can get some feathers ruffled on a few ol' hens.
