Here is a clue to how off-base and out-of-touch teachers and their ilk are: http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=589&u=/ap/20050202/ap_on_re_la_am_ca/cuba_castro_1&printer=1

In a 5 hour speech to an educators convention the Cuban leader, wearing his olive green military uniform, linked Bush's government to corruption and torture. He said he closely watched the U.S. leader's inauguration speech Jan. 20 and saw "the face of a deranged person. If only it were just the face," he said to roars of applause by educators from 52 countries at the conference.

And there were many Americans and Canadians there.

I have respect for your opinion Profe, and feel name calling does not convey your opinion adequately. I am sorry that you identify with a group that has been co-opted by the closet communists that seek to foist their agenda on our society through programming our children.

How does the sad truth of this article make me a troll? At most, I am guilty of putting a right hand spin on it.

Castro is a revisionist that has killed off, imprisoned, or exported any opposition to his rule. The educators applauded him. And that qualifies me as a troll, so be it.

Calling you a troll conveys my opinion with perfect adequacy parklane. That you could blame the audience for Castro's words is preposterous. You're just looking for a fight here, and you're not going to get it from me. What a ridiculous waste of time. Good night.

I believe many already have that 'clue'.

I think anybody reading that they were applauding Castro's words....would take that as convincing proof they supported his speech. People don't normally applaud something they're against. Again it's the radicals, siding with [agreeing with] a tyrant like that against their own countries policies.
