O.K. That's # 1 on the list of things that are inappropriate for this forum. Let's spill our guts and get it all out. What else are we not allowed to talk about? I think talking about old quilts is making fun of my grandma cause she never knew how to do that and I never had a really nice quilt in my life. So, I'll make that # 2 on the list.

2.) No discussion of quilts, please.

Don't hold back - cause I think it's much more important to be up front about your personal sensibiltiies than to wait for a post to begin to speak out.

I've heard it as "yens" "youens" and "y'all" - I used to know a lady (Californian implant) that thought it was a hoot 'cause I always said "I'm fixin to" she said, "You Texans are always fixin to do something." Until then, it never occured to me that everyone else wasn't fixin to to.

mybiddness,

Why, honey chile, youens jest reminded me of sumthen...several months ago, we had a thread talking about our "interesting" sayings down our way.

I seem to recollect that a certain poster who took exception to your earlier thread posted several comments & remarks in that thread.

I guess in their mind it's acceptable to discuss the way we talk but not acceptable to joke about the way we are.

Interesting, huh?

Eventer We must refer to rule # 4 - no bringing up post more than 30 days old.

Come to think of it - I think - I'm pretty sure I started the thread you're talking about too. I never knew I was such a wiley-ole-coyote trouble makin strump.

I can't remember who posted in that thread and who didn't - there are some benefits to having a very bad memory.

With apologies to all, I simply MUST break Rule #4..I'll do the penance later. Something very interesting in there.

Yes, you did start the thread & here's the link. For something very interesting, check out page 2.

Geeeeeze- I'm having a psychic vision here

I see all kinds of trouble - maybe even another locked thread. I think I see what you're talking about. I'm biting my tongue - can't say what I'm thinking.

I promise this'll be my last pic - but, here's my psychicdogmomma - the one who told me this means trouble.

I just love these dog pics - can ya tell!

O.K. No more - I promise.

Wow, eventer, that *is* interesting.

HCQ: why the difference in attitude between the the thread in May and the similar, recently closed, thread? In the former you gleefully join in while in the latter you castigate others for doing what you yourself have done.

I guess if one was to *really* be serious about rooting out un-PC things here on AW that may cause any degree of angst in any person or persons, the foremost item that should never appear here again are posts & threads that speak in a slighting, sarcastic or derogatory way about bidders, P.O. officials & practices, sellers who don't sell internationally, have TOS one doesn't agree with, people who make "troll" posts, eBay officials & their degree or lack of intelligence, and people who just plain don't hold the same attitudes or beliefs.

So...what does that leave to talk about?

SHUCKS Rawbunz,

No weather or tractors?
Well both are pretty boring, aren't they. To me a tractor is a tractor, too, but don't tell that to my husband.

p.s. Hey Mybid. I've been wondering where Pastorleon is too and Lady.
