Is it safe to overclock a P3 600e CPU to 800 Mhz? I bought my own computer a few weeks ago ( let husband know after the fact) He has his own computer and I needed to upgrade from my old one, will the thing is my kids and hubby want me to try and over clock this one, I do not need it to be any fast ( I do not play games but the kids do and guess they want to use mine. I know my computer is not as fast as my husbands but I do not see the need to overclock, any advice

You're asking for mega trouble and voiding of warranty.
Of the multiple problems that will occur, overheating of the chip will be the main problem. You will cut the life of the chip drastically. without installation of cooling hardware you may damage you CPU.
The glitches will never end. You do not (just) increase your MHz speed and all is well.
If I were you, I would tell your family members to experiment with their (own) goodies.
