What is your favorite commercial?
I get the biggest kick out of the Baby Back Rib commercial with Mike Myers (Fat Bastard) and Mini me... "Get in my Belly!" Slobbers down his chin and all..
I also love the Vonage commercial where the wife is being interviewed about her new phone service, while her husband is doing the moon walk and dancing in the background.. the look on her face when she discovers what he is doing is priceless.

I hate commericals.............thats why I got a Tivo.

Classy, sometimes the commercials are better than the programming.. LOL..
Is Tivo only available in certain areas? I've never seen it offered around here..

I use ReplayTV. It skips commercials.
Tivo only allows FF through them with the possibility of Tivo showing an ad during the FF.
The drawback is you might miss seeing an ad for something you want to see. So I scan the guide for the next few days and mark various things to record.

Tivo's available anywhere you can get cable or sattelite maggie.
Even tho' the TeeVee is my best sleep aid, and I only watch MAYBE 2 hours a week not counting an hour a day of news, I can't imagine being without the Tivo function.

I really should look into getting Tivo. My hubby hates commercials and is constantly muting the TV when one comes on. That wouldn't be so bad but he often leaves the room during one and forgets to come back, so if I'm working in the kitchen or on my computer, just listening to the TV, I have to go and turn the sound back on..LOL
BTW.. I told you all that we bought a 42" plasma TV a few months back.. just to let you know if you are considering purchasing one, we couldn't be more pleased with it. The picture quality is wonderful! I highly recommend it.
So far so good anyhow.

There is supposed to be a special of funniest commercials on TNT or TBS not sure which and I thought it was tonight but mush be next ?? weekend. Looked real funny by the advertisement. We were just talking about commercials today.
My favorites are nascar related they seem to have some real funny ones lately. I also like all the geiko ones.
Mrs irked says her all time favorite was the Taster's Choice? coffee commercial that had the couple that was a continued saga in their getting together. That has been a while.

If I don't mute commercials to leaf through catalogs or read mail, I get up and leave the room and do something! I will not sit through a commercial with the sound on. I've discovered that in the 2.5 - 3 minutes of commercials, I can get a lot of chores done. Start washing pots and pans, dust something, take an eBay photo, load the coffeemaker for tomorrow, write some checks, etc.
My husband doesn't watch TV except for new Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert shows, which we tape and watch at 8 p.m., skipping through all the commercials. I'd told him how much I can get done in those 3 minutes, and he's started getting up frequently, too.
I don't have any favorite commercials as a result, although the couple of times I've caught the gecko, I thought it was cute. The worst right now is that rub-on headache medicine, too repetitive.

irked- I think you can go to www.funnyads.com (if I remember correctly). The "bank robbers" commercial was from Korea or something. I didn't catch the entire show, I wish I did.
