When did this happen?
I don't know, maybe it's just me. Perhaps I'm out-of-synch with today's world. Old. Old-Fashioned? I got to remembering how my older sister had had a pen pal in Israel. Don't know why--it just popped into my head. Thought to myself--"Gee, might be fun to have pen pals in far-flung countries." Why not, I thought? There must be other adults out there in search of the same. So I went looking on the Net.
When did "pen pal" become synonymous with potential mate or sex partner? Every single site I came across has this orientation. Whatever happened to simply wanting to correspond with people of other nations? No sex or matrimony involved? Anybody know of sites that list pen pals in the old-fashioned sense?
