It is not a good idea to be illegally using my name and private email address to register me at various sites, causing an abundance of "spam mail" to be sent to me, like the 18 that just (uncommonly) occurred in the past few hours, and has been occurring for the past few days.

Very few people here know my private email address and can be determined. Additionally, the originating IP and location of ISP used to send my information to the offending sites can be easily backtracked.

If my personal information was obtained from the eBay site, the days of the offender, under their present registered eBay ID, may be numbered.

How childish, how reckless.

Mikey,
If that has happened, please do investigate it. I did not and would not do that.

FWIW, the same thing seems to have happened to me.

Well don't look at me, you guys. You both know my limits by now -- or should: In your face, to your face, and when I've had enough, I leave.

krs is right, Mikey, if you're being email-bombed, go after the creep. It's one thing to openly spar -- and non-anonymously at that -- but it's quite another to hound someone outside this agreed-upon arena. Or at least, them's the rules I thought we were all playin' by -- no matter how much sand we kick-up here...

But,

I think it's simply a result of having self registered by hits onto sites that collect email addresses for disbursement to other sites which advertize that causes this, and not the supposedly dastardly deeds that you try to credit others with in this tawdry, accusatory, and threatening thread.

mikey.

Ah, well, Boston Pops. Ya struck a nerve there, ya did. Back when Arthur Fiedler was still conducting, I went to see him (them) at the Concord Pavillion. Pearl Bailey was the guest vocalist and her husband, Louis Belson, was on the drums. A magical evening that was.

Drat you, you're supposed to know how to play the games I set up and go along...

What was that you said about a spanking, Enchanted? You want to paddle some of these naughty boys?? Good. I'll watch...

How doth the hapless Tootsie Pop
bemoan its forlorn fate
spurned by the Forum Champ himself,
not worthy to be ate.

How chocolately it melts with grief
its gummy heart ashatter
and wonders why ye dragged it in
to this unsavory matter.

Sorry about your identity theft, Mike...that sucks.

Getting *strange*? Thought I reached that meager plateau years ago...guess I must've hid it well.

Thanks for the compliment, and it's Diana, with an a at the end.

Lay off her or I'll hafta kill ya, Ken. She's one of the best people that ever bothered to post on these assinine chatboards, and, she's my best friend.

Enchanted, heck, that was quite a tease! Get back here and spank these boys -- they've earned it!!

LOL - ok you convinced me I'll volunteer.

i got a little skeert in case any anti-spanking PC police were lurking, didn't want to get into too much trouble

too bad sgt mike got so much spam, sorry to hear that. I got a LOT of spam the last week or 10 days all harvesting an ebay email address, all were forwarded to ebay safe harbor. Safe harbor said they'd been getting many many complaints. Something has got the spammers all riled up lately and sending out millions of emails i guess

Diana, beautiful poetry. However, I don't think krs really "hates" Tootsie Roll Pops.

Reaction formation. It's not pretty, but neither is a naked pop.

And *that*, as they say, is that.

Thank you for stepping up to the paddle so fearlessly, Enchanted; I've a feeling the spankees have toddled off to other threads now, alas...

Pareau, I have AW email now. Send me some -- if you're so inclined -- and I'll do the same. (If ya ever get yours working, that is!)

Ah, plsmith, you may regret having said that. Brace yourself for a few ever-so-sweet expressions of concern over the welfare of your person and your immortal soul, courtesy The Smear Sisters. Loki taught them to type, and type they do.

Well, Patsy, I've been now subjected to "The Feeble Files" for a good hour, and my weirdness has become nonpareil as a result. I just had to feed brain slime to Mangrin in the Interrogation Room, in order to get the key, and with Mister Christopher screeching insults at me at every turn (MOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM, ya did it wrong! Mooooooommm, let me do it! And sure enough, he did it right, the pike, ya had to scooch Feeble over the edge of the brainslime pit to gather it properly). Children's computer games are damaging to the psyche, no doubt about it. Nonetheless, we now have the key, and tomorrow, we're ready to blow up the Omnibrain. Believe it or not, it's a victory of immense proportions.

Spankings and talking tootsie pops? Bring 'em on. Heheh. Where's toke when I need her?

Ya think we need our own thread?
