I got a kick when I saw this (I've also seen a glazed Spam version). I remember the original Weight Watchers diet, 6 oz of beef, twice a week. Neglus and I usually chose all-beef franks - 6 each! This crown roast would serve about 2 of us!

This just can't be for real?! (I'm the most gullible person in the world.)

That would be real tasty served with a nice lime jello ring. You know, the ones they mix with (ack) Miracle Whip and nuts.

Since you already have one horizontal ring, diagonal rings of jello served in a brandy snifter would complement the elegance of the crown roast.

pixia swears this is really an old WW recipe! I think the pimento and parsley garnishes add a lot to the presentation.

You would have to use the sugarless (Nutri-sweet) versions of Jello but I like the idea

LOL - make that D-Zerta, Helen, in keeping with the Weight-Watcher theme.

Of course, Pixia! And you might unite that Weight Watcher's menu with the Rhyming Diet by adding some toast with the roast topped with greens and beans.

Perfect!

And BTW....In keeping with the Weight Watcher's menu, shouldn't we tell Profe that hotdogs, filled with sodium and lord knows what, are OK but nuts are not?

I've known some nutless weenies in my time

Now, how can I respond to the "theme" after that remark?!?!

Let's see... With this "elegant" dinner we can have hors d'oeuvres!!! ....some of those "classy" itsy bitsy teenie weenies!

Sometimes I feel like a nut, sometimes I don't.

Is it just me, or is the term "cocktail weenies" redundant?

LOL, Answering that question could give rise to a major change of theme.

Pixiamom's big sister, Neglus, may smack you upside the head just for asking.
