Now, maybe they can go after the SOBs that ignored warnings about Madoff, Allied Capital, and others. Jail time probably isn't warranted for them, but unemployment would work for me.
BTW, I want to recommend David Einhorn's book about Allied Capital: "Fooling Some of the People All of the Time." Royalties go to charity. It's a very bracing book and will likely change the way you view the SEC, SBA, and some companies.

I don't recall him mentioning LEH in particular, although it has been nearly a year since I read the book so I just might not remember.
