With the days getting shorter, does anyone else have trouble staying awake after about 7:00 p.m.? When it gets darker earlier, my body thinks it's time for bed. I must have that seasonal disorder thing.

I've always been the opposite one...I can't seem to go to bed at night lately! I notice my sleeping changes when there's a shift in the weather.

Yes, I'm MouseSlayer everywhere. It's a great name, so I use it!

Don't have trouble staying awake in the evenings, but I do find that I am prone to a vague depression during the winter months. Not full-blown depression, mind you, just a constant vague feeling of "something is wrong" and a lassitude about *doing* things--tend to spend more time in front of TV, read less, not do housework, that sort of thing. I've often thought it is fortunate that I live in Southern California where winters are usually pretty mild--it would be *much* worse, I think, if I lived in a state with long, dark winters.

I'm way different than most people. I don't like the sun and sometimes get depressed during the summer. I can even stand the heat if it's cloudy. I don't like the longer days of light and I'm so happy when it get's dark earlier and the time changes.
I like mornings but hate afternoons so I always take a two or three hour nap in the afternoon. Thank goodness I'm able to do that now. I do everything I can at night. Shop, wash the car, garden, go for walks. I know my neighbors think I'm a vampire. I don't start my cleaning of things for flea markets till seven at night and work until about two in the morning. Sometimes I'm in my garage moving boxes and bringing things in the house to clean and trying to be quiet. Aren't you glad you don't live next door to me?

It's natural, really. Until the advent of artificial light, there wasn't much to do BUT sleep when it got dark. Except... oh, never mind.

Since it's after 1 a.m. and I'm looking at this board instead of sleeping, I guess it hasn't effected me yet.
