I could use some prayers....Last night we found my uncle (an elderly 80+ year old) who's been in failing health for the past year (but REFUSED medical attention) unconscious.....He was brought, by ambulance, to the hospital....The prognosis does not look good (not a surprize to anyone)...So if I could ask a favor....if you have a moment to spare, pls think of him in your prayers, that he find his peace....& that the toll is not too devistating to my mother (his sister), who has given him a home for the past 30+ years & who has nursed him, selflessly for the past year....

Thank you all....

Thank you all for your thoughts & prayers....It truly was a comfort during this terrible time....God spared Peter from the intense doctor/hospital probing that he dreaded, and called him back to him on Sunday....Although our hearts are broken, we know that he is in a better place now, and will continue to love us all in spirit....My mother lost her brother, her last living immediate family member and her housemate companion. Being the woman of character that she is, she gave him a beautiful send off, and carried herself with true grace. She truly is one in a million. And we will continue to support her the way that she has taught us is right....

Again...Thank you all...&...God Bless

A Tribute to Uncle Peter:
Uncle Peter passed away today....gone is the gentle giant who's hard exterior was the home for a kind and generous soul.....A man who chose a life far different from the rest, but who lived it on his terms.

Thank You Uncle Peter for all the wonderful memories:

For the "pretzel" man at Klein's who you wouldn't allow to charge me .30 for three pretzels...
For the cartons of easter chocolate, a reserve large enough to feed a third world country...
For the "smoking lounge"......
For loving my children......
For potato pancakes....
For being in the house so we wouldn't be afraid....
For the never ending supply of puddings & snacks
For venturing out to visit my home.....
For your sincere enthusasim for my business.....
For sticking up for me.....
For the treasures carefully wrapped in plastic & rubber bands.....
For loving me & for being a part of my life.....

I know you were hurting...and that you were scared....I know that you heard us, and knew how much we cared....

The pain now is gone, and there is nothing to fear....I know you're in heaven, but your spirit remains near....

GOOD NIGHT UNCLE PETER, PLEASANT DREAMS...I LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART AND SOUL

Little Mary

Rancher24 That was a beautiful tribute - we are the lucky ones who have had the fabulous & loving, treat bearing aunts and uncles in our lives. It reminds me of the line in the show Friends where the new aunt Monica holds her nephew and says, "I promise I will always have gum."

My prayers are with you all.

Please accept my sincere condolences ; and thanks to you too rancher24 for letting us all here into your heart , as your beloved uncle let you in his .
I'm sure someone as loving as he , has endowed you with his own gift , as we can tell from your hearfelt tribute .

This week I attended the funeral of a very dear 91 year old gentleman who I had worked for for over 12 yrs. until his health required him to move to a convalescent hospital . Even there he touched all around him with his sharp mind and generous gift of himself and died dearly loved by family and both old and new friends .

Thank you for sharing your precious elder ; they have so much to offer us even in such late times of their life .
Peace be with you.
