During the Easter holidays we here at the old AW RT were all abuzz about the mouth-watering marshmallowy goodness of those delicious concoctions called PEEPS.For those of you out there who may not know about this the following is a public service announcement!
They now have Halloween Peeps!
Yes, the Peeps we love in a new shape!! Black cats! Orange pumpkins! White ghosts! I have my stash have you got yours?
Also FYI they are now going to have Xmas Peeps! Little trees and snowmen AND Valentines Peeps.
With God as my witness, I shall never go Peepless again!

I'm sure someday soon, there shall appear here on AW the Adventures of Orange Pumpkin Peep! I'll be looking for some tomorrow!

My ghost peeps have had quite an adventure already! The adventure,unfortunatly for them, concluded in my stomach!

I'm still finding peep poop from the last time. I was whacking peeps here, I was whacking peeps there, I was whacking peeps everywhere.

Sorry Barry[yes,it is true]Barris. Don't quite know what to tell you about the peep poop in your carpet.Maybe you need to put down a shower curtain before you whack them. Just a thought.

Hi, my name is Rancher & I'm a peep addict!!....I saw them & bought them....I slit the packages open & in a couple of weeks they will be ready for eatin'
It is really great that the Peep Folks saw fit to mold, shape & color them to fit every holiday....Now those like me, who like our peeps stale can just follow the seasons...It's time to eat the halloween peeps when the Christmas peeps arrive on store shelves & then eat the Christmas peeps when the Easter peeps arrive!.....

Snowyegret - not only will you survive but you will develop a new food addiction.
The one thing I've noticed about Peeps is that I've never seen another grown-up eating one. Must be a closet thing!!!

rancher...I just came from the grocery store, but didn't see any here. I'll keep my eyes out for them.
And your ripening schedule sounds right to me. They are so much better once rigor mortis has set in! LOL

Rancher! I was certain that you would have peeps already. I have some that are getting good and stale but I admit I did eat some ghosts.[they flew into my mouth and I could not stop them!]
My sis says the cats taste like licorice. I hope not.
Unbelievable that there are "peeple" out there that do not know what a peep is. Don't be afraid.Just put one in your mouth and chew.

Oh no, no, no, don't just pop them in your mouth! You have to savor them.
I like to lick and suck the colored sugar off, leaving my tongue a bright color, and then when it is nice and slimey bite off the head! YUMMM!!!

What about those poor expatriates wandering foreign lands without access to Peeps? Instead, they are left drooling over their monitors as you peeple continue to tantalise with visions of sugary delights.
A quick search of eBay - not a peep in sight! Anyone looking to expand their international market?

I live such a sheltered life. I had no idea there were places in the world that had no peeps! The horror!

OMG!!!....Ya mean there are really PWP's (Peoples Without Peeps) & PUWP's (Peoples Unfamiliar With Peeps).....SOMETHING MUST BE DONE!....I'll add them to my shoppin' list & see what I can find (it's pretty late in the peep season, dontcha know)
Little trivia fact: peeps have appeared in many movies...truth be told the Titanic did not in fact hit an iceberg, nope it was a stale peep that did it in!
Rawbunzel....ah, the old "flew into my mouth - wasn't my fault" excuse eh?....LOL....I think I'll steer clear of the "cats"....Licorice YUK!!!.....

edited to add: I just saw Halloween Peeps at Joann's Fabrics and Crafts. Weird place to see them, but if you have one in your neck of the woods they may be worth a visit.

My local Rite Aid has a ton a halloween candy, but no halloween peeps! Oh the humanity! How will I go on...facing a peepless halloween! Just thinking about it makes me weepy.

I found them! I found them!
My local Wal-Mart has them. The black cats kinda' look dark purple so I didn't get those. I got the pumpkins. Their smaller than the ghosts but more of them (to share w/co-workers).

sjl, I'm going to check at the Albertson's across from my otherstore in the AM, so if They don't have them, I will email you. Now, if I start posting like a chicken with its head cut off, you'll know I found them(I don't eat much sugar)!

This is making me cry . Really. To see so many rally together for the peepless.
In my area the only place I have found the Peeps is at Rite-aid.
Rancher- I am eating a cat right now. My sis was wrong! It does not I repeat DOES NOT taste like licorice! They are safe to eat. I sacrificed one of my stash for you I want you to know!

I'm going to stop at Long's Drugs on the way home. I'm sure I can get them over there. They carry a pretty good candy selection. If not, I'll hit Joann's at lunch tomorrow. hehe
I'm disappointed the cats don't taste like licorice. After peeps, licorice is one of my favorites!

Peeps are taking over. Some one call the Peep Police and get help. This is not a sci-fi movie, people ARE being taken over by these evil peeps. It's a peep plot!!!
Who will join me in The Peep Patrol to whack these evil peep poopers back to Planet X (or where ever the peeps are from).
Peep Whackers of the World Unite before it's too late.
