Hi all. Just returned from seeing this movie with my 1- year old son and his friend.
This is a must see movie for all - adults and children (10 or over) to see. I have not seen a movie this good in a long time.
It is a true story and Denzel Washington as well as the rest of the great are great in it.

It's "based on" the story of TC Williams HS, in Alexandria, VA and takes place the year schools in this area finally were integrated (early 70s, I think). The local consensus is that the general outlines of the story are true (black coach, white assistant coach, team growing together created some black-white friendships, team's march to the State championship did a lot to pull the community together, etc.), but "tarted up" quite a bit by Hollywood. The two coaches are still friends, have made a lot of joint appearances promoting the movie, and seem to agree that "well, some of it's true and after all it is Hollywood we're talking about." Good movie from what I hear, though I haven't seen it yet.

This definitely is on our list to see. Now if only I can get my 8 year old off restriction long enough to see it, we'll have it made! LOL
