I don't get to do this often, cuz most of my finds are not in the big$$ category, but....
Surf and I hit an auction today...lots of 30-40's tin toys, games, puzzles some Rose Tea...there were a LOT of toy dealers present, in fact one guy filled 2 LARGE (18x24x12) boxes before he was done!!
Anyhow...one piece caught my eye...it was a Royal Bayreuth pitcher with Satan as the handle, and covered with playing cards...I REALLLY wanted this thing..BADDDD!!!...well, I ended up getting it for $75...when we got home checked completed..and guess what??..Tha same pitcher the "large" one recently sold for $455...please join me in the happy dance
So did u guys have any great finds over the weekend?

Wow! What a great find! When you're looking at old toys be sure to grab any old oil company promo toys. I got an old Humble oil well toy (plastic) for $1.00 at a garage sale and it went for $510.00. I watched it jump from $160.00 to $510.00 within a one hour period. YEEEH HAAA!
I sell mostly the same old same old... good old reliable books through a good old reliable liquidator. A steady but boring income. When I hear stories like yours it really gives me the bug to get out on the hunt again.
Ooops, that's right, I'm female - I don't hunt.
Let us know what you end up getting for it - that should be a fun one to watch.

Hi Keith I think most of the regular happy dancers are already sleeping. Either that or I ruined your thread - ya know, I entered and everyone left the room. Not that I'm paranoid, but could it be?
Seriously, I'm so damned happy for you I could spit!!!
O.K. I'm also soooo sleepy I'm gettin a little loopy.

I win the grand prize hands down for shutting down threads. In my own grandiose way I prefer to believe that it is because my statements are soooo incredibly profound that they virtually leave the cyber-world speechless.
