Wasn't Miami-Dade the county where the "experts" said Gore was going to pick up at least 600 or so votes when all the counting was completed?
There was a very obvious reason why the Democratic controlled Board wanted to stop the counting and it wasn't because of the noisy republican demonstrators. They knew what they were going to find.

No, I've been filling an order and pretty busy, but do you count six votes as a major point to make, or are you otherwise at a loss. It still leaves Gore 91 ahead in the reported result, and they're busily working at the project.
How odd is it that you would discount and ignore any result that doesn't please you, but are quick to bring this paltry sum to bear?

Which reported result? From what source? Give me the name of the MAINSTREAM newspaper where this was printed and I'll look it up.

I only ignore the results that are published on the ultra-liberal websites where you find most of your topics.
And the whole point is that although this meant only 6 more votes for Bush, in reality, it was 594 LESS for Gore, since his backers were insisting there were 600 votes there waiting for him. They were NEVER there! They just figured if they said it loud enough and often enough, others would start to believe it as well.

I started a thread with that result. Well, actually, I think it was 97 (you know---97-6=91?) One county. Think the thread is called "and so it begins......"
Oh, I hadn't read your tirade. I think you'll find that all results that I've posted are from mainstream news sources. But of course, you don't read them either, now do you?
They put blinders on horses and it seems to work on republicans as well. Who had them first?
(that's a chicken-egg question)

Ken, don't waste your time...if Rush did not say it, it ain't true. Every one else is that evil, ultra-left press, ya know.

krs...on any given day, I access NY Times, NY Post, NY Daily News, LA Times, Washington Post, Miami Herald, San Diego Union, Newark Star Ledger, Chicago Sun-Times, Boston Globe and a few others. I love newspapers, once I get past the liberal spin.
And I wouldn't talk about tirades and blinders. Seems they fall on both sides of the political fence around here.

Well I certainly hope that you aren't lumping that conservative Republican rag, the San Diego Union Tribune in with your "liberal spin" newspapers. If you see it as "liberal" you must be way beyond "compassionate conservative" and more along the lines of "out of the mainstream Radical Right"! But don't tell me..you only subscribe so that you can read Steve Kelley's tasteless cartoons.

I lived in San Diego for about 10-11 years and never found the UT to be conservative....... although I didn't find it to be liberal either.

KamikazeKat ...love that ID! I used to have a cat by that name!
I think the UT would like to be more liberal, but the area would not support it. My favorite is the North County Times...now that is conservative. They even carry Mallard Fillmore right next to Doonesbury.
