Oh geez, Linda, you scared me. I thought it might be against the rules to say that!

Edited to say "Whoa, my face turned into a balloon!"

I don't mind football, and I have the game on. I hope the Ravens get their butt's kicked.

I LOVE baseball!

Just saw the Running of the Squirrels Commercial, pretty funny, but not as good as the Cat Herding from last year.

Muriel
I'm with you! I hate it too. I don't like contact sports, Lord knows I have tried.
Luckily, no one in my home watches football.
My favorite sport to watch = figure skating!

A warm hello VerySpecial VeryModern!

Hi Muriel!!!

I hate football, but actually enjoy baseball! I guess I better with a husband who has season tickets to the Cleveland Indians!

I was just on ebay. Thought maybe I would find a good deal with so many folks watching the game, but no such luck!

Hey Maple, if you ever sell any of your Indians Tickets, keep us in mind. Hubby and I love going to see the Tribe!

We totally lucked into 4 seats in the Club seating area last year. Now we're ruined for other tickets.

Seriously, we really would be interested if you ever sell of any tickets. You can email me at [email protected]

Wife is watching it. I was looking to see if there were any banners protesting Bush. If there are they carfully did not show them.
I don't blame them. This administration might have ways to deal with people like that. FCC - W. here about that license..
I do like #98 on the white side - that's Ravens - He and I lot very much alike, but my hair is not curly.

Hi Meya,

I'll keep your email address just in case hubby has tickets he needs to sell.

His tickets are 7 rows behind the visitor's dugout!

Who would've thought you would ever see Aerosmith and Nsync on stage together? What was Steven Tyler thinking???

Switched it off after half time. So wife can watch Malcolm. I was always the big kid in school and they resented I would not play football. I always told them I would keep the girls company in the stands while they were busting their knees down on the field. One "star" player hated me so bad he waylaid me in the stairwell and was going to kick my butt. Last year our whole football team was arrested for running a shop lifting ring.
Woe sports sure builds character!

Nsync, Aerosmith, Brittany Spears and others mixing it up sure was weird. Nsync stunk, Brittany shined, Aerosmith came off incredibly well for such has beens.

Had it on for the first time ever to see if there were any political banners. Since the TV is in the other room I didn't see alot of it. I did go out to see Sting and the other one at half time.

What gets me is all the advertising. Big business is everywhere and on everything. Looks as bad as race driver's cars and outfits. Love racing though, it is a contact sport with a car, not people.

I think the amount spent on a game like this could be put to really good use here in the states. There are soooo many working poor who could use a boost...it seems a shame.

My husband, who turned into a football hater when that player's leg was broken with a loud snap years ago--all on tv, walked into the room during the game today and asked "How did the felons do?" I asked him what he meant, and he said the two teams, between them, have 16 felons.

I still enjoy watching a good game, which today's wasn't! But I switched to public tv sometime in the 3rd quarter to watch Antiques Roadshow, which actually had more drama in it than the game did, at that point.

The superbowl frequently seems to be a poorer game to watch than the playoffs.

NFL football is OK but I strongly dislike the Superbowl. What a farce. The actual SB games are rarely any good. Almost always one-sided blowouts. A history of stinkers. But it's supposed to be entertainment. What a yawn. I feel sports in general is a big yawn (but if the my favorite teams would actually win I might get interested again). Highly paid athletes hitting, catching, throwing, running. So what if not everyone has the talent to do it? They deserve 34 bazillion dollars a year? Don't even get me started on college sports. I dislike college sports even more.

Oh, and let us not forget that when some of these millionaire athletes are not busy with murdering people, beating their wives or girlfriends, running drugs or stealing cars that they are supposedly role models to our children.
