Went to the some of the other forums, didn't feel like complaining about various auction sites and/or listening to people complain about their deadbeat bidders or problem sellers...

I'm not having any problems with the AM Pro software or the online Auction Manager so I didn't have anything to say in those forums either...

I'm happy about the services offered here and the helpful AW staff...

I haven't run into any major problems buying or selling online...

I've never had too many problems with computers, I bought my first personal computer in about 1981. It was a TRS-80 with 16 kilobytes of memory; I finally got rid of it last year (although I hadn't used it for awhile)...

Seems that I don't fit into most of the other forums because I don't have anything to complain about. I'm feeling rather left out...

I miss my stuffed toy bunny, he's sailing around the Atlantic Ocean right now. It's a noncomercial site so I hope it's okay if I post the url here...

Well---the Round Table is the place to be then---why don't you add your very own two words to the thread 'And'

we're going for a record I think

ptimko,

It seems you have discovered The Round Table...

I'm sorry about your stuffed toy bunny. I'm sure it is resting peacefully with other stuffed toy bunnies in Stuffed Toy Bunny Heaven.

I remember the TRS-80. I bought my first computer in 1982. It was a Texas Instruments 99/4a also with 16 kilobytes of memory. I still have it.

Check out some of the threads in The Round Table. The "AND..." thread is easy going. The ROLL CALL thread (now on page two, scroll to the bottom of this page and click on page 2) shows what many of us look like. Maybe add your own picture.

Anyway, stick around, join the fun (err, madness) and enjoy...

Barry (looking forward to your posts) Barris

I hope my stuffed toy bunny isn't resting in stuffed toy bunny heaven! Actually he's due to sail back into port at the end of May. He left in August of 1999 to circumnavigate the Atlantic ocean...

I looked at the "AND..." thread...

I was never very good at things like that...

Maybe I'll take a look at the ROLL CALL...

ptimko,

Sorry I misinterpreted your Stuffed Toy Bunny story. I sincerely hope your Stuffed Toy Bunny is returned to you safe and well. If I may ask, what or who is this Stuffed Toy Bunny?

Enjoy Auction Watch and enjoy The Round Table forum...

There's a picture of me and my bunny in the ROLL CALL (page 15)...

My bunny is my friend. I learned a long time ago that the easiest way to make new friends was to sew them. I've got some cows and frogs as well...

It's sort of a hobby...

Well, to tell the truth, I did get kicked out of a bar one night when I brought my bunny with me. I think the bartender was jealous because I was able to strike up a conversation with the only two ladies in the bar at the time and he wasn't...

...so then what happened?

Well it does look a little isolated where you live, Pat. Is that NewFoundland?

I currently live in Newfoundland. I grew up in Alberta. The picture on my "friends" page is my parents farm back in southern Alberta...

Not much happened after that. I was told I had to leave because the manager had said that I wasn't allowed to bring my bunny in. But I know the manager quite well and when I asked him about it the next day, he said he knew nothing about it. I told him not to worry about it and that I would take my business and my bunny elsewhere. Haven't been back there since. Don't even know if the bartender still has a job...

Nice to meet you, Pat. The Australians should be showing up any time now. I don't think they like bunnies, though.

Thanks, think I'll be going to bed soon anyway. It's about 4:50am here right now, the sun rises early in the east...

Have a good night!

xardon, we like the soft fluffy kind here in Australia. We also like the Easter Bunny.

Hi ptimko, hope you enjoy your stay at the RT.

Hi Ptimko,
Here in Queensland bunnies aren't allowed (the real kind that is).
Pity - rabbits are so cute and I would love to own one.

My bunny is the nonbreeding type (I hope). I'm not sure that he would enjoy being put into a stew either. He's really quite quiet. Never says much at all, but he's a good friend...

He should be back in about 4 months from now, about the same time that I finish my degree at university. Then we'll have to move, not sure where we'll be going but probably somewhere near an ocean...

Well, if this isn't pitiful...

I open up a thread and find out a stuffed bunny is having a more adventurous life than moi.

Welcome to The Round Table, ptimko!!

Anyone...

Why aren't rabbits allowed in Queensland?

femme Our government has banned the fluffly bunny as pets because they breed like rabbits and they say that the bunny causes disease and they can be a problem in the wide open spaces with our live stock, by eating the feed grass and leaving droppings all over the place that can carry disease.

We are allowed to have them in some child care centres for the children, but you have to apply for a special registration.

Hi, pharlap how did your evaluation go at work?

Bob Playboy bunnies LOL. Now that is one type of bunny that the government would not ban, I think that they like to have them as play mates. LOL
Bob I think that down in your part of Australia you are allowed to keep bunnies as pets correct me if I am wrong.

femme,

The reason why I sent my bunny on his trip was because I figured I would never have a chance to go myself...

I'm hoping that someone has been keeping track of where he's been. If so, I plan on making up a map and adding it to my webpage once he returns...

ptimko, is your bunny on a merchant ship or a cruise liner, and does he or she have a name??

Here is a picture of my daughter's bunny Thumper, just to prove to xardon that we Aussies do so like bunnies.

Our bunny is shy and sometimes likes to hide.

Ptimko: Well, I could include you as I whine about how crappy I feel. I can always use fresh meat in that regard.

As for your traveling bunbun: A few years back, we received a packaged with a stuffed pink pig wearing a cute little backpack inside. It was from a school in the US working on geography and the object was to see how far the pig could travel in a given time. When the pig-named Penelope-was returned to its home base, the students would plot the travels on maps and study the various locations.

We really got into the spirit of the project and took Penelope on a tour of the island upon which we lived at the time. Occasionally, we would stop, set Penelope up, and snap a photo of her in the manner of all tourists everywhere. The passing local nationals just looked at us like we were nuts.

Penelope was going to be a very well-traveled little pig by the time it returned to the US. Besides us, she visited the Netherlands, England, Italy, Germany, Korea, and various states.

And now we have a bear and need to take it around on a sightseeing tour...

nettak,

The picture to your bunny didn't load? I'm not sure if this is a problem with AW or if your bunny is really that shy...

The bunny is on a scientific research vessel. The Meteor, it's owned by the government of Germany as far as I know. They were here as part of a scientific study. Apparently they circumnavigate the Atlantic ocean about once every two years collecting data from various locations...

Does the bunny have a name? I call him Mr. Bunny...

Shadowcat,

I know that my bunny did have a small tour of Germany while he was there for a few weeks. The ship's doctor, who's been sending me the emails about my bunny (see link above), took him with her when she arrived back in Germany last year. She returned him to the ship before it sailed back out, that was in October of 1999 or so. I don't know if he's been taken on any other tours at various ports or not. Apparently they misplaced him for awhile somewhere between Brazil and Namibia. But they did find him again and ever since he's been living in the Captain's cabin...

I'm very pleased with the attitude of Bunny's caretakers. It's nice to know that people don't mind touring around the world with one of my stuffed friends...

What a great idea to sew your own friends.

Then nobody can attack you or accuse you of attacking them.

You see, I'm feeling like I don't fit in either and I don't have
a bunny like you.

When I try to be a nice poster, somebody tells me I'm a venomous
troublemaker.

If I had a bunny, at least I would have a friend.

When they tell me to "peddle your venom elsewhere", my bunny and I
could sit in the corner for awhile and get over it.

Or when they call me a troll and a troublemaker, my bunny would
always be there to assure me that it's really not so.

And when my bunny goes on a transatlantic trip he could send me
email.

Fantastic!

Helen

Bunnies are good friends. A friend of mine was married recently and when I received an invitation to his wedding I asked him if I could bring my bunny as a guest...

He just looked at me and said... "I don't think so..."

I didn't want to go the wedding by myself so I made a couple of new bunnies and hid them in a box. Next, I cleverly disguised the box as a wedding gift and took it to the wedding. I was able to sit there all night knowing that I had a couple of friends in the corner...

I sure hope my bunnies like their new home; at least my friend's new wife thought the bunnies were cute...

ptimko,

Hello again. I want to show you a picture of my Stuffed Friend. His name is Scotty. I have had Scotty since 1964 (about 36 years). He is not the World Traveler your Mr. Bunny is, but he is part of our family.

By The Way, the Blue and White colors of Scotty are the School Colors of the school I was attending in 1964.

I hope Mr. Bunny is well, enjoying his adventure around the World and that he returns safely to you...

barrybarris,

I've got a stuffed dog that I've had for about 15 years. His picture is on my page of "friends", the link is above somewhere...

I didn't sew him, he was a gift from a friend of mine a long time ago...

One of the really nice things about my stuffed dog is that he's nice and low to the ground and even fits into my briefcase. I usually take him with me when I travel...

Another nice thing about stuffed friends is that they travel cheaply, you don't have to buy them an extra ticket..

I took one of my frogs with me when once when I was travelling for school related stuff. Everyday when I left the hotel room I would leave my frog sitting in my unmade bed reading a book or a newspaper. Everyday when I came back, the bed was made up by the hotel staff, the room was cleaned, and my frog would be sitting in the chair, still reading his book or newspaper...
