a berber carpet, very light with speckles of color, no pattern. The girls decided it would be better to have new beds than pick seperate carpet for their rooms (it's a cost thing)

So........ using color with paint and with accesories.

My oldest daughters room is antique white with one wall painted a very bold wild green, that wall used to have a long row of windows so it is a framed in area at the center and she will be doing a jungle mural on it. It's going to be wild. It will take her months to finish, she has to draw plans first she says, then draw it on the wall, then paint one color at a time...... Cant wait!

My little one went with country white and on one wall a beatiful powdery blue and she is going to paint kittens and butterflies

My room is antique white and one wall is mango! I love!

The livingroom is all country white and the color will come from some pretty bold art and accesories.

After awhile the painting starts to suck and the kids whine and we are all tired.

So yesterday my wall was last (my mango wall) and so I called the kids in and I put paint on my brush and flung it at the wall. We ended up painting our hands and running and jumping at the wall to see how high we could get a hand print. We flung paint we smeared it we laughed we had fun!

Then I painted over it all so I'd have my solid mango wall. There are splatters on the ceiling and a few on the next wall I'm keeping tho

Today was way boring tho, just touch up and cleaning and getting ready for the carpet guys.

Sounds like you had a blast, kel! I did that with my living room...I painted the color on with a brush, then decided "nah, dont like it" so took a wet rag and tried to wipe some of it down...and VOILA'!! It looked great, so I did the rest of the walls like it

Its so much easier to paint walls when there is NO carpet. You can get as sloppy as you like without worrying
